Percussion Lessons in Lake Wales. Amazing Teachers.

I can help students who are wanting to be in marching band and symphonic/orchestra. I have hand drums and various auxiliary percussion instruments, including tambourines, triangle, shakers, maracas, claves, a cabasa, etc. I also have a xylophone for students who want to learn mallet instruments, and I am well familiar with both the Burton and Stevens grips. I can help those who are wishing to compete in band contests, as well.

Percussion:
There are a whole list of percussion instruments and I can teach you anyone you would like to learn. Each instrument has it's own unique characteristics and can be sounded by being struck or scraped by a beater, struck, scraped or rubbed by hand; or struck against another similar instrument. The percussion family is believed to include the oldest musical instruments. Some of the instruments are timpani, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, triangle, and tambourine. Whichever percussive instrument you choose I have the ability to teach it to you.

Private percussion lessons available for beginner to advanced percussion students. The curriculum includes learning to read music, developing a rhythmic vocabulary, snare drum, mallets, and bells for school concert band or marching band. Travel available for in home lessons up to 15 miles pending location, scheduling, and availability. 4 weeks or more notice is required for discontinuation of lessons.

While I do not formally teach drums anymore I do take on students from time to time who show a keen interest and dedication to drums and percussion as it pertains to songwriting and locking in with the bass player.
