I teach a variety of styles including finger picking, basic to advanced picking techniques, tapping, and jazz voicings.

I am proficient at all styles of music, however, I especially prefer acoustic finger picking.

About Jeremy
I am an accomplished performing musician that has experience playing many different instruments in multiple styles. I believe first and foremost that learning music should be fun and exciting with an emphasis on self exploration and communication. It's these qualities in my own musicianship that have helped me grow a true love of music and have pushed my career forward as a performer.

*** Lesson Details ***
In lessons I use a shifting curriculum that is made to work with the needs of each individual student. I firmly believe in the importance of learning to read music and learning some basic music theory, in my experience this helps the student grow from being able to reproduce the music of others to eventually developing a unique style and sound. After three to six months my beginning level students typically feel comfortable enough
to play with other musicians confidently.

*** Studio Equipment ***
The In-Studio lessons take place in the living room seating and a guitar are available. 1 cat and 1 small dog kept separate during lessons.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will provide all of the necessary educational tools such as listening samples, and printed off hand outs. The student needs to have their own instrument, staff paper and a pencil.

My first lesson went well. I like that he places an emphasis on technique and explains the exercises thoroughly. Any nervousness I had for this first lesson went away quickly as he showed me what he expected in a patient way and he was encouraging when I tried new techniques. I am looking forward to my next lesson and to learning new things.

David was born on the nineteenth of October in Queens, New York. He was first introduced to music at the age of eight, when his parents enrolled him in piano classes in his hometown. When he moved down to Florida at the age of 15, he started learning how to play drums at a local church.

Shortly after that, David realized playing Guitar Hero wasn't quite enough for him so his father picked up an old guitar from a garage sale a few months later. He immediately fell in love with it. About 3 months later, David entered a Regional Competition known as "Top Nazarene Talent" and placed first. He then got the opportunity to compete at Trevecca Nazarene University and placed fifth in the region after only playing for a short period of time.

Since then, he has played in many churches, venues and festivals with local bands and talented musicians. His influences range from Pop, Contemporary, Alternative, Rock and Metal. He hopes to help his students find their own unique style by ...

About David
My music background began in my senior year of high school. My friends and I were super-competitive and we always wanted to out dual each other on the guitar. For this reason, we each joined different projects and ventures to one-up each other. However, in due time each of us respected the path to which every musician travels. I currently specialize in ambient rock, metal, comptemporary, and blues style guitar.
Furthermore, I have developed my sound to become the best version of myself, and I strive to help students become the best version of their own true self.

Excellent Teacher.

I'm an experienced player, so I can't exactly say that he'd be good for someone who's just picking up a guitar. But he does an excellent job teaching technicality and musicality, which is something that many teachers lack these days. When I looked for a teacher I wanted someone who would help me better myself as a musician in a style I wasn't very familiar with. By musician, I mean someone who is not only technically proficient, but also very musical and a very good interpreter of music. So far he's helped me a lot in all of those aspects, while managing to keep a comfortable learning pace. I'd recommend him to anyone who really wants to push themselves musically.

I teach folk, rock, jazz, blues, classical, and everything in between. I know that learning anything can be frustrating at times so I like to allow time for serious work as well as lots of time for exploration. The more you explore, the greater the chance for discovery. I like to start out slow, hone in on what your passion is, and then get down to the nitty gritty. We will make goals in relation to what you are interested in and then see how our interests broaden as you progress. I teach scales, chords, and simple techniques for playing any style.

About Andrew
Hello, I am an actor, musician, and teacher from Portland Oregon. I am a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts and founding member of Los Angeles based performance collective Poor Dog Group. I have taught guitar, bass, ukulele, and voice in Los Angeles for over ten years. I am also a theater teacher and acting coach with over six years of experience. I like to include all aspects of performance in my lessons. My main goal is to instill confidence and sense of experimentation in your artistic practice.

If you are brand-new to the guitar, I'd love to jump right in and teach you a fun song right away during your first lesson. I like making this as fun as possible while you're learning a lot about the guitar. If you already know how to play, I'd like to help you gain a better understanding of how the guitar applies to basic music theory. I want to help you truly gain your independence as a guitar player. In my opinion, there are only two things that really matter when learning how to play the guitar: 1) Having fun and 2) Learning a lot. That's what I hope that you can attain by learning from me.

About Kevin
Hello! My name is Kevin, and I am looking forward to teaching you everything I know about music! I've been singing at Walt Disney World for over 23 years (and I still am currently) with the Voices of Liberty, the Dapper Dans of Main Street, and Four For A Dollar. I have a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Penn State University. Even more than singing, playing the guitar, arranging for a cappella, and playing piano, I love to teach! Ever since I was a sophomore in high school, I've wanted to be a teacher of music in various capacities. My favorite aspect of teaching several private students each week is that every individual student has a different story: What is it that you want to accomplish? Would you like to sing, play piano, or play guitar? Would you like training in music theory? Do you want to eventually have a career in m
usic? Will this be a hobby for you? Whatever your goals are, I am excited to know your story.

Learn the Tricks of the trade and get up and going fast!!!

About John
I have 37 years of playing and 12 years of teaching beginning and intermediate drummers by ear, performance & notation. Preforming drums has brought so much enjoyment to my life and has expanded my cognitive and creative mind more than I would have ever realized when I started in 1978. Teaching/sharing my drumming experience is a passion, my students are taught not only how to play drums but also about music structure (verse, chorus, bridge, etc.), how to perform with other musicians and how to dissect a piece of music. Various styles and rhythms are taught and rudiments are covered thoroughly - nothing better than an impressive double stroke roll! I have always been a teacher that I feel can understand each personality and adjust my approach to each lesson as needed and furthermore, I always treat my students with respect, courtesy and
patience which I find makes them more apt to relax, listen, learn, feel the music and have fun!

John has been a great drum instructor for our 9 year old son. In a short period of time, John has taught him tons of skills and also helped develop his love of drumming. He keeps it fun, easy and motivational, but also has challenged our little drummer. He is very encouraging and positive with our son's progress. John is always on time and is a great communicator. We definitely recommend John!
