Ariel is a great teacher. He is patient and he encouraged in a great way. I am very happy and your school should be very proud to count with such a great teacher. I am a true beginner and he gave me vocal and breathing exercises that will hopefully lead me to tune and sing. I am a teacher of English and my goal is not to perform . However I realized that singing is a very relaxing and therapeutic hobby. thanks a lot!!

My 13 year old daughter has been taking singing lessons from Ariel. He is an excellent teacher, very meticulous and knowledgeable. We highly recommend him!

I've been teaching piano for over 8 years. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to read music and play simple songs and as time goes on you'll be able to play songs in any genre and style that you so choose. I specialize in classical piano and accompanying (especially musical theatre), typically using the Piano Adventures books, but depending on the age and level the repertoire will be adjusted! I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

"Matthew genuinely created my love for music. I began taking piano lessons with him at 8 years old, and then vocal lessons at 15. He not only made lessons fun, but has a true investment in his students' musical progression and talent. I can still remember when he sat down with my 12 year old self and convinced me not to give up on my musical talent just because I was frustrated with practicing. I would recommend Matthew to absolutely anyone, he is a wonderful mentor, friend, and teacher!"

Read on as music teacher James W. shares a quick introduction to the genre, and the 5 iconic pieces you should know!  Ragtime piano music is characterized by its syncopated rhythm, which simply means that the accent is unexpectedly placed on the off beat, like the 2nd beat and the 4th beat in a 4/4 time rhythm. This “offbeat” style became famous at the turn of the 20th century with songs written by Scott Joplin like “The Entertainer” and “Map …
