Physics lessons with me are unique because I have an extensive background in physics, which allows me to explain concepts in both abstract and concrete ways to match the needs of the student. In the year since I graduated from Boston College with a degree in physics and moved to Florida, I have tutored 2 students in college level physics and 1 high school AP physics student. Teaching physics is a challenge because the content is not concrete or straightforward. The questions are vague, abstract, and often puzzles for the student to solve. Therefore tutoring physics is not about showing the students equations or step by step processes because even for 2 problems of the same type, the steps will not be the same; rather, is about teaching the students how to think abstractly in order to accomplish these tasks themselves, rather than dissect each question for them. My lessons are taught based on the standard university physics textbook: "Fundamentals of Physics" by Resnick, Halliday and Walker. This is considered the 'Gold Standard' of introductory physics texts. I can tailor the topics down to a conceptual level (without calculus) for people who are looking for preparation for high school/college prep physics, or I can help people who are planning to take or are already taking university physics 1 or 2.

High School - Honors Physics and College Prep Physics along with AP Physics (both Mechanics and Electro-magnetics).

Test Prep - SAT Physics Subject Test, MCAT Physics (Medical School Entrance Exam), and AP Physics.

I've had several students get 800's on the SAT Physics Subject test and countless more get a 700+.

I have taught more than 8,000 science, math, and foreign language lessons and enjoy spreading my enthusiasm for physics, chemistry, geometry, algebra, pre-calculus, French, and other subjects.
