Cara is the best music teacher we've ever met. My daughter Amanda (now 6 years old) started learning piano from her 8 months ago. Before that Amanda learned piano for 1 year but didn't have good progress. Now, Not only can Amanda play piano very well, but also she can play violin well for 5 variations of Twinkle Twinkle, after only 9 violin classes from Cara. The most important thing is: Amanda is falling love with the music, which I believe will benefit her whole life. In our opinion, experience, fun, discipline and child-centered are the key to Cara's teaching success. We have met with her husband (a retired band director), and two daughters (both professional violinists), we can feel their love to the music and really admire their music skill.

Our friends thought we were crazy when they knew the fact that we need to drive 60 minutes single trip to take the weekly lesson, but after they see Amanda playing piano and violin, they think it well deserves it.

Cara is the best music teacher for kids in Metro-Orlando area. If you want your kid to fall in love with music, she is your best choice. Go Cara!

Alex is an excellent teacher! He worked at my pace and gave me a good foundation of exercises and instructions on how to build hand strength and proper posturing for playing classical guitar. He's very down to earth and makes you feel comfortable and capable throughout each lesson. My favorite songs we worked on were the duets.

Online Music Theory Teacher

I am an experienced theory and keyboard tutor. I have taught and tutored Theory 1-3 at New England Conservatory, which included part writing, ear training, analysis, figured bass, progressions, and solfege.

I am passionate about the subject and how it relates to all the music we like to listen to and play. Whether you are trying to pass your theory class in school or university, or are interested in augmenting your theory understanding in any context, you have come to the right place!!

I am excited to explore the realm of theory with you, and we can even learn how to improvise and how to play by ear if that interests you.

Let me know what YOU want out of our work together, and lets make it happen!!

While we are at it, we could work in other subjects or musical instruments! Check out my page for more subjects.

Catherine is very responsible and extremely helpful for my music theory study. She set up additional office hours to help me understand the knowledge and pass the advanced tonal practice course. Her introduction was very clear and she delivered it with great patience. She was also very thoughtful to be flexible to fit my schedule. I really appreciate her help, and would highly recommend her.

"Keith is a an awesome teacher! I learned so much from him in the span of a few weeks. Every lesson is packed full of information and he makes sure you totally get and understand the lesson before moving onto the next chapter. I really appreciate that he corrects me whenever I make mistakes especially when it comes to staying on beat while playing the piano with the metronome. Lessons are also never boring with him. I feel that he truly cares for the musical growth of his students. Although, I'm taking a break from Take Lessons when I enroll again I will choose Keith for Piano/Music Theory."

"There are those who teach out of necessity, and those who teach out of passion

I'm taking music theory and composition lessons from Daniel to supplement what I already know from composing by ear. He's an excellent teacher, very enthusiastic about teaching the material, and extremely knowledgable. I feel like I've learned a ton so far and we're not even close to done yet! Highly recommended."
