I began working with Rob about three years ago.. He is one of the most personable teachers that I have ever worked with. The atmosphere never feels like a teacher/ student situation, but more like two friends who are working together to work toward a common goal. He teaches with compassion and understanding at all times, and is never condescending. His talent, knowledge and skill are immense. As a result, I am studying pieces that I would have thought beyond my range. Very highly recommend him.
Peter
I admire Rob as a singer so much. His tone is so good and he makes live performance look so effortless. I'm not that strong of a singer yet, but we are making progress to improve my tone. He's also teaching me how to deliver a stronger performance using stage presence and movement, as well as voice. It helps that he has a great ear for pitch too, so I know when I am singing well. He's encouraging as well as honest, and I look forward to showing off my improved skills sometime soon!

Rob is one of the most talented and gifted people I've ever worked with. He's patient, kind, and is incredibly personable. You won't find a better teacher.

I want to teach you to have the most natural, best sound your voice can produce without getting worn out. My teaching approach and vocal studio embrace the singer's personal and professional journey.

Many teachers conduct voice lessons using a series of preconstructed warmups and vocalises. This is rigid and ineffective, as each singer's vocal journey is unique. My teaching approach embraces the individual strengths of the singer, catering to their specific pedagogical needs. Every lesson is different. Creativity, playfulness, curiosity, humor, exploration, sensitivity, and respect are held in a safe container during lessons, acting as fundamental collaborative elements of my studio.

I am joyful to have extensive experience collaborating with:

*singers and dancers performing on Broadway and national tours

*contemporary recording artists

*actors in film and television

*voice over and audio book talent

*university and conservatory musical theater and voice majors

*performing arts middle and high school students

I take pride in working with any person who has ...

It's rare to find a voice teacher that is honest, constructive, kind, and encouraging all at once, but that is Desiree! She is incredibly warm but is still upfront and gives truthful and beneficial feedback. She is playful and up to try anything, always welcoming ideas from students. I feel I've grown immensely as a vocalist through my time working with her. She has equipped me with tools and exercises I can do on my own when struggling with a piece of music that I constantly use. She is also so generous, and I have always felt that she genuinely wants me to succeed. Do yourself a favor, and work with Desiree!!!!!!!

"I’m extremely happy with my singing progress from Stephanie’s coaching. I always thought that I couldn’t be a singer but decided to take a chance and was very pleasantly surprised that, with Stephanie’s method of teaching, that almost anyone could learn to sing. I can’t recommend her enough. Stephanie is an outstanding vocal teacher with an impressive musical educational background as well as formidable singing abilities herself. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, she cares. It is important to her that you improve and she will put a lot of blood sweat and tears into your singing. You really can’t go wrong with her. Did I mention that she’s one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet? Yeah, there’s that too."

"Great first lesson! Eric spent a lot of time listening to my voice and understanding my background in order to make the most of our time and determine what our next lessons should cover. We started with vocal exercises that illustrated/practiced basic concepts that were enlightening to an inexperienced singer like myself, so I feel like I left the lesson already having learned a lot! Though I was nervous, he was always very reassuring and kept the lesson light and fun to ease my nerves. Very much looking forward to my next lesson!"
