My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played many different instruments in many different kinds of bands. It all one major thing in common, it was FUN! If you are not having fun while learning an instrument you won't want to learn. Lessons can be fun AND educational at the same time. I have had many parents tell me I'm one of the best teachers they have ever seen. (A couple of them were public school teachers themselves). I truly want my students to succeed and I will do everything in my power to help them accomplish that!

I am an extremely patient instructor that emphasizes attention to detail. I teach elementary school music normally so I’m used to focusing on and mastering the basic concepts. I have taught private lessons for trombone, euphonium, tuba, Horn, trumpet, and saxophone for the past five years. I believe that my large variety of teaching experience allows me to adapt my style to fit any needs that a student may have.

I have been teaching for 10 years in private lessons, music camps, and music clinics in Michigan and the metro DC area. I so enjoy teaching brass students how to gain better control of their musical expression through honing skills in technique, emoting, and general music knowledge. I can assist in preparing for play tests, auditions, solo performances and overall gaining a better grasp of any literature or method material. More than that I love coming together to enjoy playing music and growing as players. I am in awe hearing musical voices develop and become more articulate in expressing how they see the world through music.
A bit about myself, I graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in music. I also attended Eastern Michigan University for three years before transferring to Penn State where I finished my degree. I teach trumpet, trombone, and tuba for beginner and intermediate levels and euphonium (B.C. & T.C.) (baritone T.C., baritone B.C.) for all

I have helped many tuba students place in All-State ensembles, compete for seating placements, and earn top marks in solo and ensemble competitions.

Beginning music lessons at the age of 9, Miss. Mundis has now turned her passion into a career path. She has spent over 10 years studying Cello and 6 years studying Tuba, choosing Tuba as her instrument of choice. She now is pursuing a BM in Music Performance where she hopes to share with others the joy of performing and how much it means to her.
