I've been teaching guitar for over eight years. I've previously been a part of two bands during my formative years and recently have been a session guitar player for four upcoming indie rock, alternative, and R&B/Soul albums.
For children and beginners, I use the Mel Bay publication Children's Guitar Chord Book as well as Hal Leonard's Guitar Method series. I also apply basic music theory that includes learning the Circle of Fifths and basic reading of sheet music.
For intermediate guitar players, I utilize the Gibson's Learn and Master Guitar series to teach Power Chord Formation and Delivery, Fingerpicking, Pentatonic Scales, Reading Tabulature, and tackling some of classic rock and jazz's favorite tunes.
For guitar lessons at my studio, I leverage Guitar Pro to project and display tabs and play-alongs with ease. For in-home lessons, I use the software for select lessons as we begin song selection and play-alongs.
I can't wait to rock out with you as you find your inner ...

Since Dr. C. and I are the same age, we connected musically and share the same taste in artists and musical genres.
He takes the time to answer all questions and allows me the freedom to experiment while under his supervision.
I feel I am grasping the rudimentary basics of the instrument and look forward to my next visit.
There's an ease to our lessons and I never feel as if I'm being rushed.
Recommend him highly."

Steve is an excellent teacher and a great player. he has a deep knowledge of guitar and other instruments as well. I enjoy taking lessons from him very much and think one would be fortunate to learn from him."

Paul is a very skilled teacher. He has a lot of experience with guitar, and can play amazingly. He is very serious about my guitar playing, but doesn't put pressure on me. He is great about making sure I practice enough. If I have a problem with the song/tune we are currently working on, he is willing to change. One of my favorite things about Paul is that even though he's serious, he is really funny, and all of our lessons are fun. Another one of my favorite things about our lessons, is that most of the songs I learn, are chosen by me. He lets me have a say in the song choice. I definitely think he is a great teacher, and your son, daughter, etc. would learn a lot."
