Do you want to unlock the mysteries of the guitar fretboard? Learn to play songs, improvise for the first time or explore new ideas for improvisation, study rhythmic grooves and learn to keep and feel the beat. Guitar can be a vehicle for your souls' deepest expression and also a form of practicing meditation. I began teaching before I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. After Berklee, I performed in several bands, toured Europe and worked as a sound engineer for both live and studio settings including several festivals in Costa Rica.. I can help guide you with creating your own sound recordings if desired. Whether you are just getting started or an experienced guitarist looking for some unique perspective I'd love to help you find a new groove! My favorite styles to play are rock, reggae, R&B and the blues but I also play funk, jazz and classical guitar. Drop me a line today!

About Jennifer

I began playing guitar at 12 years old. Before that I had dappled with the piano and always sang. There was something about the guitar that just drew me in! I always loved seeing the hands of guitar players and the sounds that would accompany those shapes. Guitar is a very pattern based instrume

Ever wanted to walk up to one of those free pianos on New York City summer streets, but felt too insecure or inexperienced to try? I have had nearly two decades of personal piano experience. While I am primarily a classical singer, I believe that learning piano and the structures of harmony is at the core of all musicianship. I have taught countless piano students at almost every level, and I love helping them become more confident musicians. Whether you are interested in playing piano for fun or learning piano as the beginnings to a career in music, I am confident that I can teach you a combination of piano and theory technique that will help you succeed.

Rachel is a great vocal instructor and gave me the confidence to learn and discover my own voice. As a beginner with no experience in vocal training, I was able to learn the basics of posture, setup and breath and of course singing. I enjoyed lessons with Rachel and would highly recommend working with her.

Based on playing ability, I try to tailor a student's goals to their time available to practice and motivation. Just like with any craft, playing an instrument is a discipline that needs attention, and I want the best outcome the student feels that they can produce. We will have fun discovering the joys of learning music!

About Keats

Hello! I am currently a college student in Lakeland, Florida at Southeastern University. I am in the process of working on my undergraduate degree in music performance with a concentration on cello. I primarily began my studies in piano before taking cello lessons a few years later. I am a teacher t

Keats is a skilled and perceptive teacher. I am dealing with many beginner issues and he always has multiple suggestions and ways of explaining how to accomplish the techniques I am working to master.
I am an accomplished flutist but just love the cello so decided to take lessons. He truly seems to enjoy sharing his knowledge.
I feel so fortunate to have found Keats because he really cares about me as an individual although I am truly old enough to be his grandmother. Outside of our lessons, he has sent me links to recordings, a new bow which I have purchased and am thrilled with, and various other cello-related matters of interest to a beginning cellist.
He does not insist that there's only one way to do things and has studied with a variety of teachers himself. He comes from a musical family so is very knowledgeable about classical music. A true musician who understands the love of music.
Lastly, I want to recommend Keats because he has a very gentle, kind manner and praises my work when it is good. He encourages me through frustrations and sets reasonable goals at each lesson.
I am also a music teacher and would recommend him for a student of any age. I know that the relationship that develops between teacher and student is crucial to a student's progress, and Keats is a real and caring person in the lesson, not some drill instructor. I think he would be fabulous with children and certainly relates very well to adults. Give him a try!

"Relaxed but perceptive and capable

Having read Christopher's bio, I sensed that there was something special about him, and that he was the right one for our son who has some learning challenges, particularly in the area of Math. I believe it is very important a tutor connects not only on an academic level but also where there can be some light hearted conversation. Christopher arrived punctually for our first meeting and his assessment of our son. In advance of that meeting I had explained to Christopher what the challenges are and what our collective objectives are. As soon as I saw him, he appeared to relaxed but confident. After an initial introduction, I stepped away to let Christopher and our son become acquainted and he immediately set about establishing some common ground which happened to be a particular sport. No more than Christopher, our son is also very perceptive and despite the fact that he initially resisted the idea of any tutor, his words after this first meeting were "I can work with him"! Its obviously early days yet, but so far so good!"

"It’s been more than 2 years since I started my lessons with Eric and I suppose I was lucky to find such a professional with a strong business and PhD background. It was important for me to develop my verbal communication abilities in finance and economics and Eric was definitely the right choice. Both his personal and professional skills make the studying process smooth and efficient and I really see the results as I have become much more confident when making presentations and also I passed successfully CFA Exam Level I. Apart from relevant and coherent agendas for our well-structured lessons with intensive homework preparation materials I can also emphasize his punctuality and friendliness. He is a really good tutor and I highly recommend him!"
