Hi, my name is Liam, and I am excited to help you or your child learn how to play the drums.

My 20+ years of performing across the country taught me how to wow audiences from 10 to 10,000. But teaching has taught me compassion, and how to break big, complicated things down into bite size pieces.

I’m most interested in students learning to play music they love, and learning the techniques and the rudiments to help them get there along the way.

Playing music is fun, and learning it should be, too.

Able to teach everything from hand percussion (Congas, Bongos, Djembe, etc.) to full drum kit. Also will cover music theory and teach drum notation. All genres. Online students are expected to have equipment prior to lessons. If you do not want to begin with a full set, please have at least a practice pad and drumsticks.

Available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn. I specialize in independence, reading, time playing, technique, all styles. I use many of the most popular drum methods from the tradition of drumming.

I believe that an encouraged student is a successful student! I have been teaching students of all ages and abilities for over 20 years, and believe that anyone can have FUN learning to play the drums. As a teacher, I can give you the tools, technique, and confidence to achieve your drumming goals, whatever they might be. Whether you're just starting out or picking drums up again after a hiatus, I will work with you to create a customized curriculum to help you unlock your full potential. Drums are one of the most fun instruments to learn, and I am adept at performing and teaching all styles, from rock to jazz to everything in between.

I have played as a substitute drummer in the orchestra of the Off-Broadway show "Jersey Boys," and have also backed up Adam Pascal ("RENT," "Aida"), Christine Ohlman (vocalist for the Saturday Night Live Band), and Carolee Carmello ("The Addams Family," "Mamma Mia!").
