I am a firm believer that anyone can learn how to play an instrument and enjoy doing so. Although my teaching style is grounded in establishing a foundation of strong technique, I am also well aware that not every student is going to enjoy or want to play classical music, and that's okay! My goal is to help my students establish a relationship with their instrument and music in general, so they are able to grow and develop in the direction they want.

Whether they are in beginning, intermediate, or advanced levels, I provide a well-rounded teaching approach that would help them gain confidence in their musical and learning abilities as well as motivate them to practice and progress! ! Please NOTE: At this time, besides advanced and intermediate level students, beginning students may only be accepted for online lessons with me if they had at least 1 solid month of weekly lessons.

Since 2011, I've had the joy of teaching students how to play the violin to the best of their ability. From six year olds just starting out to adults in their 80s who want to learn just for fun, I've successfully taught the skills and techniques to make music on this beautiful instrument.

With a gentle, patient approach, I custom-tailor each lesson to the student's goals, interests, and abilities. Within that framework, I place an emphasis on proper position, technique and intonation. To provide a thorough and well-rounded music education, I also teach note reading, music theory, and ear-training. I do everything I can to make learning fun and engaging -- often using games, flashcards, and interactive exercises to teach certain concepts, especially for younger players. I am a member of Certificate of Merit so students can take cm on their choice, am also doing symf during summer. I usually held recital minimum 1-2 a year so students will get a chance to perform.
I use suzuki method for most students but also open to teach whatever students interested in.
My students are from 5 years old to an adult. I have also taught at a elementary and highschool before.

I am classically trained in violin, I have 12 years of teaching experience, and I also have a degree and experience as a music therapist, so I am able to meet the student where they are and formulate a lesson plan around the specific needs of the student.
