I teach since 1996 and every minute with a student counts, every note they learn to play, every skill they develop with my guidance is a joy for me.... I feel happiness by helping others find a new way of saying and feeling (through music)... I also love to play music with my students.

I teach a wide variety of students from beginning to advanced and the styles we explore range from rock, blues, folk, and alternative, to worship music, classical, and jazz. I place an emphasis on developing a well-rounded student by focusing on music literacy, theory, and training the ear for things such as improvising and playing along with others without supervision.

Transcend the instrument and be able to play with anything. Learn your favorite tunes by ear and on the guitar. That is what I focus on. From beginning rudiments all the way through completely breaking down and conceptualizing the fretboard.

I've been playing for 20 years and have studied jazz at Peabody Conservatory and Berklee College of Music. However, I have played in bluegrass, rock, funk, hip hop and klezmer bands, as well.

I try to create an individual approach for each student because every person learns uniquely. I work with people on skills that apply to music at large, as well as the guitar 🎸. My goal is to help a student learn how to learn on their own, and provide the tools to do so.

Guitar lessons with me are unique because although I am young, I am a very experienced teacher already. I started learning guitar at 10 years old. By the time I was 16 I was gigging and teaching kids in my neighborhood and any Craigslist clients I could find. At 18, I took a 1.5 year program at the Los Angeles College of Music, where I graduated with an AA in guitar performance. Since then I have worked as a professional musician, and also as a teacher /consultant with Adopt the Arts, a non profit started by Matt Sorum (drummer of Guns N Roses, Hollywood Vampires) and director Abby Berman. In my time at Adopt the Arts I have amassed over 4000 teaching hours of teaching kids ages 4-13, so I am very experienced with kids and get along with them great since. I have also been giving other private lessons to people of all ages since 2011. Hi, I have been playing guitar since I was 12 years old. I have been teaching private lessons for 17 years. During this time I have taught hundreds of students at all levels of experience. I have also been teaching a college level beginning guitar class for the past 10 years. I currently play guitar with 2 bands as well as solo work and I play an average of 120 gigs per year. I have an AS in Fine Arts Music. I love all styles of music- Metal, pop, jazz, country, blues, classical. I have been teaching online lessons for 5 years.
