Michael Brown has studied the Trumpet since age 11. Graduated from Jones County High school in 2016. In the four years at Jones High School county Michael has preformed Principal trumpet with the local youth orchestra, Principal Brass Quintet, and Symphonic band, and Jazz band. He has also participated in District, Region, and All-State Honor bands in the state of Georgia. His senior year he was named the Drum Major for the high school marching band.He is Now attending Kennesaw State University

Experienced music teacher of 7 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! While clarinet is my primary instrument I have a special attachment to the trumpet. My original clarinet teacher was in fact a trumpet player and is currently a section leader for one of the United States Air Force Bands. I have also given private lessons to 4 trumpet players - some of whom have gone on to do very well at the high school level.

I have been teaching music to students of all ages for 17 years and I absolutely love it! I am a fun loving teacher who has high expectations of my students. I have a bachelor (UM) and Master (CMU) degree in music. I am a school band director as my full-time career. I am able to teach all of the brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments, including piano, to varying degrees. You will receive a multi-faceted lesson with me including music theory, music history, new techniques, musicianship skills, performance skills, and much more. =C2=A0I played trumpet in school=C2=A0 from 5th grade on and was the first =
chair in the 9th grade Orchestra in seventh grade. I took trumpet lessons a=
t Kennelly Keys at Arts Food Center on Holman Road in Seattle. Roy Kennelly
told me at the time that if I wanted to be a musician that I would have to=
get used to playing the same thing over and over again. I took that to hea=
rt and try to impart the same type of philosophy to my students.
I periodically take trumpet lessons in the Seattle area to brush up on my c=
hops and also to learn new ways of Teaching.

Strong instrumental playing begins with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of music and the simple act of making a sound from the instrument. Students learn to play music by ear first, and are later introduced to music notation. More advanced lessons emphasize sight-reading, expression, and improvisation.

An instrumentalist since age 10, Thomas has experience as a performer and teacher. His previous education has included methodology classes on teaching specific instruments, and he is available to teach beginning trumpet lessons.

Students begin with the Rubank method and add in Arban's. A strong emphasis is placed on the fundamentals of scales, ear training, sight reading, and music theory. Along with this we have fun playing the music student enjoys.
