Performance - Voice from Berklee College of Music
Every voice is a unique "living instrument", strongly influenced by so many physical, emotional and psychological factors. In my classes I love to help students exploring their own voice beyond the simple concept of learning a melody and repeating it, showing them how to use their instrument at its full potential of musical expression. I like to teach the technique together with the interpretation, going through every musical style, pop, rock, R&B, soul, country, you name it! I firmly believe that there is something to learn from every genre, and I think that the listening process is an essential step to find our own personal voice. Throughout my career I worked with students of all ages, from 5 to over 60 years old, with different levels of music preparation, from complete amateurs to professional singers.
I'm a singer-songwriter, voice teacher and Berklee College of Music alumni. I started my career in Italy, winning national competitions like the Tour Music Fest, and participating to the first edition of the talent show “The X-Factor”. I graduated at the University of Pisa in “Music, Cinema and The
Even more importantly, Marco is a spectacular teacher. He is a student of the voice and knows more about the anatomy of singing than anyone I've ever met. He can describe where you should place your sound, pinpoint how your body is affecting your voice, and immediately show you several exercises that target your specific challenge spots.
Marco has also helped me improve so much as a performer and musician; he has challenged me to sing songs that are slightly out of my comfort zone and given me countless tips on how to pay homage to an artist when covering them while still making the song my own. Finally, he has also helped me develop my own musical style as a cover artist and original artist.
Speaks Language coaching for songs in English, German, French, and Italian. Some Norwegian experience as well.

Keep in mind classical technique is a great foundation for all styles of singing, so depending on student's level we will start with classical exercises before moving on to their musical theater repertoire.
I am dedicated to helping you feel comfortable singing, performing and even auditioning. I teach you how to free up your voice and how to apply the tools that give you the confidence to sing what you want. Also check me out on FaceBook at fb.me/MelissaJamesStudio *** Lesson Details *** I do ha

My seven year old daughter has been taking lessons for almost a year and has learned so much. She enjoys class and excels because Mr Robinson has helped make her comfortable with learning this new instrument. The classes are fun and we love to hear the recorded tracks of her playing and improvement."
John provides all the information - both theory and performance in a very laid back way which leaves the student feeling stress free. He is very realistic as to the expectations of what the student's abilities are now and when "tentatively" they can expect to achieve a level of playing.
He does his job. It is up to me to do mine! Having fun and learning in a very short time. Not easy - but practice, practice, practice."
What does it take to learn how to sing? Take a look at these four important factors for success, courtesy of Palm Springs, CA teacher Angel V... As a singer myself, I have to develop discipline and really strong practice habits to stay on top of my game. I have had the opportunity to study with great musicians and singers throughout my life, and they all have something in common. I like to call it the four P's of great success as a singer: Practice + Patience + Perseverance + Play = Cr …
