With a background in various methods including certifications and doctoral research, I believe my curriculum is flexible and rigorous for students of all backgrounds. First lesson we will get acquainted with your goals and what you are looking for out of lessons. Then I will assign fun technique building exercises along with goal pieces that we will work on together. Expect to have fun and enjoy music!

Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!

With my expansive experience as a violinist in various genres/settings and my three years of teaching experience, I provide my students with a well-rounded and unique take on learning the violin. While I often start with classical music to get the students familiar with note reading, fundamental playing techniques, and basic music theory, I do take the time to get to know the students and their musical interests - thus tailoring my curriculum and repertoire choices towards the students' interests and goals. A specialty of mine is arranging pieces and songs from various genres for the violin based on the student's preferences and level of playing.

Brandon G. has been privately teaching/mentoring Violinists for 7 years. Within the first few lessons, you will be able to understand the basic instrumental/music fundamentals and as time progresses, you will be able to improve your Viola playing abilities at a much more developed level. I use the Essential Elements for Strings method materials, Suzuki method materials, and my personal music library.
