Hi, my name is Cindi C., and I have loved music for as long as I can remember! As a child I loved to sing with the radio, and belt out hymns as loud as I could from the backyard. My mom enrolled me in dance class at the age of 3, and I loved dancing and performing! At age 7, a classmate played the piano in our music class one day, and I fell in love with it! I started taking lessons on the piano, and 3 years later started learning how to play the flute. In high school I started teaching piano lessons, and have been doing it on and off for about 30 years. My years of experience have definitely helped me to become a better teacher. I try my best to be very patient and compassionate with my students, and I tailor the lessons to meet their individual needs and goals. I want my students to have fun at their lessons, so I will play mus
ic games with them to help them memorize notes on the staff and rhythms. I also try to find out what music they like, and find music or write music that they would enjoy learning to play.
When I was in high school I decided I wanted to major in music at college and began working toward that goal. I won a piano accompaniment scholarship at Northeast Missouri State University ( now called Truman State University), and there I majored in music education. Piano was my main instrument, and flute was my secondary instrument. I played my flute in marching and concert band, accompanied many different soloists on the piano as well as our show choir, and sang in the acapella choir. I have been playing and performing ever since! Now I teach a children's choir at my church, play the flute in our church orchestra, and play in the Gainesville Flute choir. I enjoy teaching both the piano and the flute to young and old alike! I would love to share my joy of music with you!
*** Lesson Details *** Our lessons will be a time of fun and creative ways to learn to play the music that you love! Our first lesson we will talk about your goals, and then I will recommend music methods based on those goals.
I tailor the lessons to fit each child or adults individual needs and wants. I use flashcards and play games to help you to learn your music facts, and also use a music theory book to help you learn basic music symbols and notes.
By about 6 months, you will be able to play simple pieces, be able to keep a steady beat, and know the notes on both the bass and treble clefs. At this point, I will recommend some easy solo books based on the music you would most like to play. Or if you have some favorite songs you would like to learn, I will write out the melody with a simple chord accompaniment in the left hand for you to play. You will continue to progress through the piano method levels, and we will continue to add different elements to your lessons, such as learning scales and how to play different styles of music.
I want our lessons to be fun and interesting for you, so I will do my best to help you find the music that you will enjoy playing!
*** Studio Equipment *** Lessons in the living room, piano
*** Travel Equipment *** I expect my students to have their own instrument or piano/full size keyboard. I can get their music books, but would like to be reimbursed for them. I will bring my own metronome/tuner, and if they don't have their own stand, I will bring one with me.
*** Specialties *** I have used the Bastien method and Piano Adventures by Nancy and Randall Faber for Piano. I have used Trevor Wye for teaching flute.
Hi I'm Dillon Casey and I've been teaching music for almost 15 years and really enjoy it. My mission as a teacher is to create an atmosphere of learning, fun, and creativity for my students. I aim to show my students that music can be exciting and enjoyable and to help them foster their own love and appreciation of music.
I cater to each individual students needs and have created a curriculum framework in order to do this effectively and keep students engaged and having fun. I incorporate elements of music history, theory, technique, and creativity.
I have a unique method that I've developed that incorporates my love of apps and technology, along with my interest in psychology, where I use strategies in goal setting, practice techniques, and continual motivation to keep the student not only learning, but learning much quicker
and more enjoyably than a standard guitar lesson.

I've taken lessons with Dillon for 5 months, and he has helped me make tremendous progress. I was lucky to find Dillon because my music interests are all over the place. I wanted to learn about fingerstyle, soul, jazz, blues, Latin music, music theory, transcribing for bands. Dillon helped me with all of those. He's the kind of person whose has really studied the guitar and can distill the music from many styles into a few simple ideas for the guitar, and explain those ideas in a memorable way.
I'll continue taking lessons from him, and would recommend him as a teacher to anyone looking for a teacher with charisma.

Dillon is an absolutely amazing teacher. I just started playing the piano a few months ago and he has been instrumental in motivating me and giving me the tools I need to get started. He is always willing to switch it up each lesson depending on how I am feeling that week and I really enjoy working with him. Dillon is extremely talented and dedicated to music which is really great, because starting out can be hard. I would highly recommend Dillon to anyone!

Dillon- was not reliable. He no-showed twice and his phone was not active. Not a good start for beginner student!

When we realized that our daughter Veronica enjoyed singing and showed keen interest in music, we decided to put her through some formal training in vocals. One of our friends referred us to Ms. Denise.
Ms. Denise is an excellent teacher. She taught our daughter vocals for almost two years. Our daughter had the most wonderful time with her. She focuses on strong fundamentals, instills confidence in students and makes the whole experience enjoyable.
I believe everyone can lean to play the piano! I’m using the blended method of teaching the piano, using Suzuki, ABRSM, and Bastien music literature. My main priority is to learn the child (or adult) and apply the best individualized methods matching to his best learning styles and personality. Learning to play the piano enhance memory, concentration, attention span, and patience. I make sure my lessons are dynamic and fun!
I have been playing the piano since I was 7 years old. I graduated from Prokofiev Music College in Ukraine with specialization in Piano Pedagogy and Performance. I won many local young pianist competitions and participated in the International piano competitions in Russia, Poland, Croatia, and Bulgaria. I have been teaching the piano since 2000 in Ukraine, Italy, Bahrain, Arab Emirates, and USA. I really enjoy teaching the children of different age and keep very positive, friendly and comfortable environment during the piano lessons. Look forward to meeting my future pianist!
I live teaching music. I specialize in teaching young children. Lessons are upbeat and fun with a mixture of traditional piano playing along with fun off the bench activities to instill a love of music that will last a lifetime.
My name is Kara. I have been teaching music for 8-9 years and I absolutely love what I do. I have been playing piano for 27 years and I also do arrangements for local churches on the side. I specialize in teaching very young children. There is no greater satisfaction than instilling a love of music in a child. My teaching methods are a mixture of traditional piano training and techniques and fun games and activities to ensure a firm grasp of the material. Children learn best through play and I use this philosophy in my teaching.
As a teacher, I always push for teaching skills that are necessary and carry over to what the student's goals are. I also am happy to arrange and write any song requested, as included in the lesson cost, and teach any song or genre to my students!
I am a professional, pianist, songwriter, violinist, and recording artist. I graduated from Seattle Pacific with a Master's in Viola, and have been playing piano, violin, and viola for over 15 years each.
Any student should plan to be performing ready and comfortable with their instruments within a year of learning under me. I push my students with a strict practice regimen in order to keep their musical growth healthy, fueling their passions and goals for their craft. I have many tips and tricks I've learned from my teachers as well as performing locally.
I am comfortable with teaching any genre, on any of these instruments as well as others I've learned, and using any teaching method needed. I feel that everyone has a love of music, and I want to nurture that for as many people as I can in this world - I feel it's important for a heal
"Great instructor. Patient, knowledgeable, and very skilled."
"Truly amazing teacher!"
"My 2 boys, ages 11 and 12, had been through several piano teachers before finding David. Currently, they have been taking regular lessons with him for 3-
4 years. Their love for music and piano have progressively increased along with their skills. This is because David’s teaching methods are a unique blend of theory, classical, and popular music. While their friends are getting bored and burnt out, my kids love to sit down and play without me telling them. David keeps lessons fun, yet focused. It is always a treat when he takes the bench to demonstrate or play a song. And the kids love hearing about his piano career in the Big Apple. 5 stars!! Exceptional pianist, exceptional teacher!"
"Excellent teacher for all age groups and skill levels.
As a senior, I started taking piano lessons about 1 year ago. Emma is very patient in her teaching
. She gives encouragement and motivation when needed. Her musical knowledge and talent is amazing. I learned much more than I thought possible."
"She's very good in handling beginners, let alone a 7-year old boy that has no experience. She explains it very well with my son!"
"Ms.Jennifer is the most fantastical teacher ever, but really, she is. My sister and I (Grace) have been taking lesson for 6 years now and we've really enj
oyed her the whole time. She works around our crazy (and I mean CRAZY) schedule, multiple times. Taking piano lessons from her has been a really fun experience and I'll keep doing it as l can. Now I'm in 6th grade and can read treble and bass clef and can play much more than I thought I would be able to when I first started. Now to outdo Grace, Ms. Jennifer is sooo cool and the bestest (not a real word)teacher in the whole universe and has like superwoman powers on the piano. I totes(once again not a real word, that's just how good she is) recommend her."
"BEST TEACHER EVER!

"Ella has been giving my nine-year old daughter weekly piano lessons for at least five years. What really impresses me about Ella is that she is not just t
eaching my daughter piano, but, in the process, helping her grow up into a young adult. Ella demands the best out of her while showing patience and understanding. In short, I feel lucky that Ella is my daughter's teacher. I highly recommend her."
"I never thought I'd be able to learn piano as fast as I'm learning with Wes! Thanks man!"
Do you have a need for speed? Below, piano teacher Ryan C. shares some piano finger exercises that will help you increase speed when playing the piano...
What makes a great pianist fun to watch? Is it his or her sense of musicality and his or her ability to play gorgeous music with apparent ease? I think both.
However, there is another skill that really makes a pianist great…speed!
Have you ever watched an amazing pianist play ridiculously fast and wondered to yourself: “Ho …
