Aidan was born with music in his blood. Born to parents Eric and Nila Alexander, classical music was being played for him even before he was born, as both of his parents are classically trained musicians. They are life-long professional musicians who both received post-graduate musical education in Boston. Aidan began his musical journey around the age of 3, when he was taught piano from his mother. He sang in MomâÂÂs choirs the moment he was old enough, and listened to 10 years of his sisterâÂÂs Suzuki violin lessons. He continued playing piano, listening to music, and singing until the age of 12, when he received his first guitar. He couldnâÂÂt get enough, and had the musical background and intense practice schedule that caused his playing ability to shoot up very quickly. That year he had advanced enough in his guitar playing to join his teen church band, in which he played for several years. After attending a summer jazz camp, he received a talent scholarship for the ...
Hi there! I'm Aidan, and I am currently looking for students of all ages, skill levels, and playing styles on the guitar. I also teach music theory and aural skills, and have 10+ years of music and playing experience and 4 years of college level music and guitar experience. From ages 5 through 15 I offer Piano, Voice, and Drum lessons, all of which I have 5+ years experience in. Contact me if you want to begin your musical experience, or if you would like to further your musical abilities and move in a better direction with your playing. Happy learning! :)
Students may start at age 9. Students will learn to read notation, tablature, and chord diagrams. Emphasis on understanding music theory as it pertains to this instrument and eventually gaining the ability to listen and interpret music independently. Much emphasis on fun, as well!

Electric Guitar lessons are very similar to the acoustic guitar lessons. I believe that the foundations of techniques are vital to expanding your skill level.
In Electric Guitar lessons there will be more time spend on developing knowledge of scales and notes and how they coincide with chord progressions. For beginners it will start at the very basics of chromatic scales and finger placements and for the intermediate player the lessons will reinforce basic techniques and expand further into different scale variations and solos. Intermediates will work on the speed and timing of their left hand and will be able to jump in on any jam session with awesome solos for any key.
I have played/studied guitar for almost 15 years. As a musician I have been a part of several different bands and have played at venues all over the southeast. As a teacher I have been giving lessons for almost 10 years and have been very successful in developing techniques and strategies to enhance the skills of beginner and intermediate guitar players. I am actively involved with the event Lutheran Happening of The South for 10 years where I have served as a Musician and Director. From 2004 to 2006 I served as the lead guitarist for the Lassiter High School FCA. I studied and learned the ins and outs of music theory while I was a member of the National Championship Lassiter High School Marching band for four years. In college I was a member of the Wesley Foundation ...
I've been playing guitar for over forty years and love helping students reach their personal musical goals. I've studied with award-winning players and never stop improving my own skills. I want my students to enjoy music. After all, this is supposed to be fun!
Each student is different and requires a different approach. We will establish your goals for playing and begin the journey to make those musical goals a reality.
I'm a retired teacher who has played guitar for 40+ years. I'm a fingerstyle guitarist and perform at weddings and special events. I've taught most styles to all ages. I'm probably not the one to teach your teenager to play heavy metal, however. I do teach ingerpicking, country, classical, pop, and even Hawaiian slack key. I specialize in beginning children and adults. I also teach mountain dulcimer and ukulele. With children, I use a method book to teach music fundamentals and balance that by encouraging the child to learn to play songs that interest him/her. With adults, I want to teach what you're interested in learning. I believe we learn best when we are excited by the material and challenged to reach the next level. I have taught special needs music students - ...
Young college graduate with experience tutoring multiple subjects privately as well as teaching in public elementary and junior high schools in Japan for five years. I've played guitar and uke for over ten years, in coffee shops here and live houses in Japan. I've spoken Japanese for seven years.
I have been teaching for over 8 years, with 18 years experience as a musician. My students are welcome and encouraged to pick out songs they would like to learn. I have found that students who are excited and happy with learning songs they pick out tend to practice more and achieve their goals.
