I have 25 plus years of music industry experience from singing, performing, writing, producing and touring. Music has allowed me to see the world and my experiences can benefit those who are willing to make the sacrifice to do what it takes to make it in this business Bio Jeff is a producer/songwriter who has been in the music game for 25 years. He got his start as a 9 year old drummer, touring around the country with his older twin brothers singing group “Cash” who was signed to Greedy/Casbar Records ran by Don Cornelius (Soul Train legend). He later experienced some success as a member of a vocal group he created called “Smooth Approach” who released 5 albums and enjoyed success on a regional level and overseas, still selling units today in Japan and the UK. I've played on countless stages with orchestras, ensembles and bands. I can show you what it takes to get it done and be ready.
I love music! To me, it's a way of life. From listening to playing to writing and of course teaching. I grew up with music at school and home. My dad was a piano player and teacher so music has been a part of my life since day one and I want to share what I have learned. Everyone has a unique musical talent and I enjoy helping them find it. I believe that anyone can be an excellent musician. Playing an instrument should be a fun and creative adventure. Whether it's strumming at home, playing out in the clubs, or writing the next big hit, I will do my best to get you there! My musical life began when I was in 5th grade and my dad bought me a saxophone, which I played for over 10 years. I quickly learned how fast I could improve if I simply kept playing. When I hit my teen ...

Learn all requisite skills and the understanding to combine them into audio/visual performance.
I am recent graduate of Music Composition and Theory from Antioch College, and I am a veteran of many bands, having performed in some of the largest venues around the country. I favor a 'learning through experience' instruction style where my students can gain an in-depth understanding of music through the practice of their instrument. My students will quickly and simply learn the essentials of music theory, an understanding of what musical concepts are right for each situation and why, and the ability to compose and improvise musically while they are gaining the technical abilities and skills to flawlessly perform on their instrument. *** Lesson Details *** My students will learn about scale, harmony, and its correct application. I will instruct them to quickly grasp the lay-out of ...

My teaching method is very practical and customized to every individual. I do not believe that you can use the same style with every student because everyone learns differently.
I coach performance on all the instruments I teach, as well as customizing an approach to the individual to prepare them for a performance, audition, or whatever need it may have to fulfill. One of the biggest things I try to help the student prepare for are the roadblocks they will face in musical performance, both those that come from within (psychological, fear, doubt) and without (public criticism, on-stage issues).
With 20+ years of live performance experience in many different scenarios, on the stage and behind it, at the sound board, behind a video camera, etc one of my biggest goals with a student in the live performance arena is to empower them with the tools they need to be the best all around performer they can be. Sometimes this has nothing at all to do with the ...
