I have been a musician for the past 19 years. I've been professionally making music for ten of those years. *** Lesson Details *** My lessons are designed around the goals of each student; the first lesson is the exploration of those goals and the formulation of your specific lesson plan. Additionally, in the first lesson, I will assess your current skill level in the lesson subject. Lessons include instruction in music theory, ear training, and music history as necessary to achieve the goals of each student. Weekly scales, exercises and other practice targets will be assigned as necessary. It is strongly encouraged that each student keep a notebook to keep track of what is to be worked on.
Saxophone is my favorite of all the instruments to teach. I have been playing this instrument for over 15 years and studied this as my principal instrument in graduate school. I am very diverse in the styles of music I can teach on this instrument. As a public school music/band teacher I am very successful with keeping my students engaged in learning the instrument.
