English (ESL) with Stacy R.

Stacy is a fantastic teacher! Because she has degrees in both education and Spanish, and many years of experience teaching Spanish, I am confident that I'm receiving correct instruction, which definitely might not be the case with someone who simply happens to be speak the language but has no training in it or in education. (I have degrees and speak English, but my degrees are neither in English nor in education, and simply being a native speaker does not make me qualified to teach English.) So, I really appreciate that she has the educational background and teaching experience that she does. She is easy and pleasant to work with; I never feel rushed or overloaded, yet neither does she waste lesson time. She is flexible and willing to work with whatever approach the student prefers (e.g., immersion, just conversational, or using a standard textbook). She works at the pace the student desires. Finally, she is professional and has always been on time to my lessons. I strongly recommend her.
