***About Me*** My name is Rich :) I'm a 32 year old professional jazz musician and teacher with a BM in Jazz Studies from California State University Northridge. I've been playing piano for 23 years. Music did not come easily to me at first! But with some time and persistence, I started making sense of it and have since been obsessed with finding ways to show music to others in a way that is easy to understand. I feel anyone can learn music, whether it be as a casual hobby all the way to a serious career. Either way, music is really fun! I spent a lot of time gigging at bars, restaurants, weddings etc in the 2010s, but post Covid I’ve come to find a deeper passion for teaching. I do occasional music live streams online too. When I’m not playing music I’m a pretty hardcore gamer (video game music is so beautiful!!). *** Lesson Details *** I’m here to help any student learn as many aspects of music as possible that they wish to learn. Our goal together is to build a solid understanding of core musical fundamentals, giving the student a solid foundation on which to build their individually catered knowledge.
