I am a seasoned teacher certified in k-12 Music and Math. I have a BA in French Horn Performance and a MA in Orchestral Conducting. I have been teaching Music, Math, Language, and Dance for over 30 years. I teach to all my students from where they are. When teaching music, I teach the techniques of the instrument along with general musical knowledge, care and maintenance of the instrument. I work with my students to make sure that their posture is healthy for both playing and the body and proper breathing techniques for wind playing. For my math students I focus on fundamentals and foster a deep understanding of numbers and mathematical concepts. I stress the importance of vocabulary and the ability to articulate what they are working on using good language.
