I direct, vocal/music direct, choreograph, stage, and design lighting/sound/playbill for the show. I also greet the students before camp, make sure they are safely with their parent after the camp, edit music, create the basic set design, and assist with costumes. Students not only learn about singing, acting, and dance technique while putting on a show, but they also are involved with making the sets and props! This camp is for incoming 3rd-9th graders and is from 9am-3pm, M-F, for three weeks in July. My production company, Sunshine Face Productions®, films and edits the show as well as the behinds the scenes footage into a 2 disc set. The performance of the show is on the last Thursday at night and Friday late afternoon/early evening. The last day of camp we provide a pizza party and watch the unedited video of the show. Previous shows: The Jungle Book Kids (2014), The Lion King Kids (2015), Beauty And The Beast JR. (2016), Seussical: The Musical JR (2017), High School Musical JR. (2018), The Little Mermaid JR (2019), ArtQuest Showstoppers: A Virtual Showcase (2020), Shrek The Musical JR (2021), and Descendants: The Musical (2022).

I needed to receive this certification so I can be the assistant director, assistant music director, and choreographor for the school musicals at Our Lady Of Mercy in Park Ridge NJ. Protecting God's Children® for Adults is training conducted by VIRTUS® certified facilitators on the prevention of child sexual abuse. The training makes participants aware of the signs of child sexual abuse, the methods and means by which offenders commit abuse, and five easy steps one can use to prevent child sexual abuse. Two videos are the centerpiece of the training: A Time to Protect God's Children™ and A Plan to Protect God's Children™. The facilitators incorporate policies and procedures into the training defining child sexual abuse, addressing the reporting of child sexual abuse, the screening and selection of employees and volunteers, and victim advocacy.
