Greetings! I am a dedicated and experienced tutor with with over a decade of teaching experience and nearly 20 years of tutoring expertise (only recently joining the TakeLessons platform. I recently transitioned from a full-time educator to the role of a math educational consultant, allowing me to collaborate with and provide resources to fellow math educators. This new position affords me a flexible schedule, enabling me to better accommodate tutoring sessions. I am a certified K-12 Mathematics Teacher and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, as well as a Certificate in Data Science. Among my specialized areas is AP Statistics. While in the classroom, I taught AP Stats for many years, and my students consistently surpass state and global averages on their AP exams. I also tutor middle school math through advanced-level high school courses, including Pre-algebra, Algebras I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Precalculus. My personalized approach centers around understanding each student's unique learning style and adapting my methods accordingly. Having experience in both in-person and virtual settings, I am well-versed in ensuring effective learning and engagement online. What truly propels my commitment is my genuine love for sharing the joy of mathematics with students. I am enthusiastic about utilizing my knowledge, expertise, and passion to support and empower students in their academic pursuits.
