Cultivate mastery in college mathematics with the guidance of a physics/mathematics graduate

I'm most experienced tutoring any first and second year college math subjects (excluding discrete math, never took that one), but can also help with more advanced subjects like numerical methods, calculus II & III, ordinary differential equations, and linear algebra. For online sessions, I typically share my screen and pull up a digital whiteboard, while referring to electronic texts, snipping useful excerpts and pasting them alongside the steps of example solutions. You can come in with problems you'd like help with, or we can figure out where to start together, pulling problems from textbooks and other electronic resources. Feel free to come in unprepared! (Currently only accepting students age 18 or older. If booking for an adult other than yourself, please do so through the account they will be using when logging in to attend lessons).

I find no greater joy than helping others reach those "ah-ha!" moments while solving math and physics problems. I'm grateful for any opportunity to help someone achieve their academic goals. It's important work! (Currently only accepting students age 18 or older. University of Idaho Department of Physics

• Participated in weekly meetings with theoretical physicist to discuss aspects of chiral perturbation theory of nuclear forces and computation of related quantities. • Edited, compiled, and executed Fortran scripts on weekly basis in university database using PuTTY. • Developed information outlining test and computation parameters and corresponding results for meetings. • Documented and presented findings and conclusions in mathematical terms to physics department colloquium

STEM Tutor II

Feb, 2020 - May, 2022

College of Western Idaho

• Engaged in directed give-and-take discussions on math and physics concepts to facilitate and augment adult student learning • Collaborated with students to complete homework assignments, identify lagging skills and correct weaknesses. • Integrated technology into sessions to further enhance student learning. • Helped students prepare for college math placement exams.

Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Feb, 2019 - Aug, 2019

Arkema

• Mastered over fifty unique analytical chemistry procedures to determine purity of organic peroxides and precursors at a fast pace throughout the intermediate and final steps of manufacturing processes. • Managed laboratory data using LIMS and SAP. • Resolved malfunctions in high-performance instruments. • Collaborated with engineers, operators, and administrators to troubleshoot production problems.

Undergraduate Researcher - Experimental Solid State Physics

Aug, 2016 - May, 2017

University of Idaho Department of Physics

• Participated in regular meetings with physicists and graduate students to discuss aspects of research and experiments. • Independently investigated effect of silica nanosprings' anisotropy on wavelengths of incident light using microscopy and spectroscopy. • Applied optics theory to predict effects of nanospring anisotropy and identify parameters for experiment design. • Identified notable reproducible effect after working with large sets of measurement data, wrote report visualizing findings.
