I've been a professional vocalist for 15+ years receiving awards in Vocal Performance, such as the National Associations of Teachers of Singing Classical Division 1st Place Award in 2010 and 2017, and 1st place in Talent and Overall in the Distinguished Young Women Regionals Contest. I've sung with the Utah Valley Young Artists as a Vocal Soloist, and have studied voice with the best teachers in Utah, including Jennifer-Welch Babidge and Darrel Babidge (BYU), Cindy Dewey (USU), Martha Glissmeyer (BYU), Carla Joe Bennet (BYU), and have participated in various professional level choirs and operas including Opera Orlando, Utah Lyric Opera and Bach Festival Choir and the Millennial Choirs and Orchestra. I've had 5+ years of teaching experience and am a proficient pianist. I've studied Audio Engineering for 3 years with my husband and we have a recording studio in our home. My vocals students can record their songs once they've polished them and I provide a minus track for all of their songs for them to practice with. I'm a very patient teacher and teach in the style of Betty Jean Chipman who wrote the book "Singing with Mind, Body and Soul". I am careful with my students voices and desire that they always retain the joy of singing and maintaining optimal vocal health.
