I have been teaching chess for 5+ years. I have a unique teaching style that is oriented around each student individually. My lessons revolve around finding the strengths and weaknesses of each player and creating a personalized plan using that information. Throughout my chess journey, I have reached the title of a USCF chess expert with an USCF rating of 2100+ through mostly self-study. I know the exact methods and techniques that took me to this level, and I wish to share it with others. My objective is to help you get better at the game of chess, as learning chess will improve your ability to focus deeper and increase your analytical thoughts. The first lesson will be a diagnosis of the student's play through an in-depth and thorough analysis of the student's games from either tournament or online play. Students are recommended to provide as much information regarding their chess prior to the lesson. Through this diagnosis, I can begin to see which areas will need to be focused on for maximum improvement. This will form a basis for how future lessons will be structured and what topics will be covered. Alongside each lesson, PGN (portable game notation) files will be provided for the student to review after the lesson. Homework positions will also be assigned to ensure that the student has fully grasped the material. While chess is known to be a difficult game to master, I aim to provide instruction in a clear and easy-to-digest manner.
