I am a professional guitarist, singer, songwriter, and recording artist. I studied guitar and piano privately from age 7-20. By age 14 I was attending local blues jams and learned through this invaluable experience how to play with other musicians in a full band scenario as well as improvise in a live setting. Additionally, I studied and performed flamenco guitar. I’ve built a successful career in music, having toured nationally and internationally, playing festivals and opening for major acts like Robin Trower, Nikki Lane, The Doobie Brothers, and Joan Jett to name a few. In addition to a well-rounded and diverse experience as a live and touring musician, I’ve also written, recorded, and performed on a variety of full-length albums, EPs, and singles, and have had original music featured on TV shows and video games. In 2015 I began teaching private lessons. Sharing my passion, experience, and knowledge of guitar has provided a meaningful way to connect with those who want to learn the basics of the instrument as well as how to express themselves through music. I customize each student's lesson plan based on individual goals and interests and aim to cultivate a positive and fun learning experience. My strengths and focus as a teacher are in blues guitar, basic scales, chords, and technique, improvisation, and learning popular songs by your favorite artists.
