Hi my name is Karlee. I am deaf-born (fully deaf in left and fitted with hearing aid in right) SEE(Signed Exact English) to PSE (Pidgin Signed English) Signer. I teach PSE, Deaf Culture, Deaf History. Currently working on getting my degree in ASL (American Sign Language). I do not teach complete ASL for personals and ethical reasons which I can answer in the lesson if you ask me. I teach you the difference in ASL to SEE AND PSE, why ASL is beneficial, and basic signs in ASL but not the grammar structure. I can recommend you to several ASL teachers here and if they are fully booked then I can recommend other deaf educators. If you are becoming an interpreter then I recommend you learn from DEAF ASL EDUCATOR! I have taught at several senior center and after school program and mothers with their kid and we had many thought provoking discussion. I was always sure to gave them the safe space to ask any questions even if they thought it was rude, intrusive or too dumb to ask. I assure you it isn't, this is a learning environment. I am currently working on an interesting challenge that I have set for myself. Is to get 1,000 people in my town to be knowledgeable in their ABC and 100 basic words in sign before getting my new smile which is by the end of 2024. Will you come sign with me?
