Do you play saxophone in band and want to learn how to improvise and solo? I can teach anything from basic scales and patterns to more advanced scales, theory and concepts that will help you stand out in a crowd!
Do you play saxophone in band, but want to further your education and practice and become the best you can be? I can help by teaching anything from etudes with a focus on one aspect of playing to full concertos! With more advanced literature and heavy reinforcement of the basics, any student can easily become a more advanced player.
Interested in woodwind doubling? I have played clarinet and flute for many years, and I will be able to provide lessons on secondary instruments as well!

Hello! My name is Jacob Neville, and I am currently a band director in Baltimore County, Maryland.
I love video games, cooking, poetry and pets!
As someone who has many experiences with different subjects, I believe that there is always more than one way to teach something, and if one way is not working, there is a better way to teach the subject to the student.
While it is important to learn the content of the lesson, I also believe it is important to get to know my students, ask them about their week, and facilitate their needs accordingly so that the student is comfortable at all times.

Jacob is a phenomenal teacher! He knows a lot about playing saxophone in many areas: jazz, classical, etc. The tips and tricks he can provide will help your playing improve immediately. I highly recommend him as a saxophone teacher.
