I have been a traveling proessional software developer trainer for the last 20+ years, teaching teams of developers in Java, web development, C/C++, SQL & databse concepts, operating systems and system administration to public and private companies ( Many Fortune 500 companies), the U.S. Department of Defense, and pubic classes across the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Canada. Now I am retired, but I still have the passions for programming and to share my hard won knowledge and skills with those who need some help to change their lives, either professionally or as a hobby. I think programming is fun and a great way to keep the mind sharp. I still get emails from students many years ago crediting me with getting their careers started, having the skills to earn promotions, etc. The satisfaction that those communicaioins bring is priceless! My experience in teaching over 2000 classes over the last 20 years allows me to explain concepts in 6 different ways as needed. My teaching style is interactive and hands-on. The bestway to learn to code is to read and write code. I am a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, and a former officer inn the USAF. I was an independent IT consultant for 15 years, and I taught IT subjects at two proprietary schools in the Detroit metropolitan area for several years before I began the travelingstyle of teaching. On a personal note, I enjoy programming as a hobby as well as exercising my pilot's license.
