Cello with Evanghelina C.

Evanghelina was born in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. She finished her Bachelor’s Degree in cello performance at Park University’s International Center for Music, and Master’s Degree in cello performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Currently, Evanghelina is pursuing her DMA Degree in cello performance at Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. She has performed in Europe, United States and South Korea and as soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra member. Since 2017 she has taught in numerous music schools such as KC Music Academy, Metropolitan Strings Academy, Queen City Music Studio, Cincinnati School of Music , International School of Music and Baltimore School for the Arts. During her school years, Evanghelina won several competitions, including first prize in the Concerto Competition (Moldova, 2007), third prizes in the “Antonina Lucinschi” National Competition in Moldova, and second prize in the “George Georgescu” International Competition (Romania, 2012). She also received scholarships from the Kansas City Music Club, Sigma Alpha Iota and 2022 Civic Engagement Georgie Award from Johns Hopkins Peabody Conservatory. Evanghelina was also a part of numerous orchestras. She held the principal cellist positions in Central European Initiative Youth Orchestra Wonderful Youth Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra “Tele-radio Moldova”
