Hi there! My name is Elsa Mucyo and I can't wait to meet you! I was born and raised in France and I went to Université of Avignon in France and earned a Master's degree in Teaching French as a Foreign or Second Language in 2016 complemented by over 6 years of teaching experience.. I began my career path as an activity leader working for 3 years with toddlers. Then, during my studies, I taught French to immigrant adults and then started teaching French to immigrant children who had just arrived in France and needed to enter the school system as fast as possible. I also taught French with professional objectives to adults from all over the world - in a residential center, right before coming to and settling down in the United States. Soon after relocating in the United States in 2016, I started teaching French in private and group classes to babies, children, teenagers and adults with two well-established Language Schools in New York City and I also started having my own private students. Pursuing my passion, the following school year, I worked as a Preschool Co-Teacher at La Petite École - a French Immersion School located in New York City. I am now a Preschool French Teacher at the French American Academy in Jersey City since two years. I am skilled at preparing students to ace tests such SAT French, AP French and DELF/DALF exams. I am creative and adapt well to each student’s learning goals, personality and starting language level. I have shown great results with students of all ages and even bringing a notable number of them to conversational level. I also have some knowledge in German. My favorite hobbies include traveling, working out and reading. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
