I am a native Chinese speaker, a proficient Chinese teacher, and a Classical Chinese aficionado. Being born in Shanghai, China, and having lived in Germany and Los Angeles and now being a student at UCLA, my passion for Chinese has never ceased. Back in China, I have been intrigued and obsessed with the Chinese language. In addition to maintaining an excellent Chinese academic record, having taken multiple Chinese courses in school as well as extracurricular, I am also well versed in Chinese classical literature, from poems to plays to theaters. Whether you are a high school or college student looking to improve your performance in class or a professional seeking to learn Chinese for a business setting, I am excited to help. I hope to help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, guiding you to improve in areas of weakness and also sharing my passion for the language with you. My experiences with teaching and tutoring include language tutoring in Chinese, English, and German, as well as academic subjects of math, chemistry, and biology. I have extensive test prep experience with AP courses and SAT. I have worked with children from elementary school to high school and college, with well over 100 hours of teaching. My additional experiences as a tennis coach and violin teacher working with little children make me patient, caring, and to adopt teaching styles best suited for student learning.
