Welcome to our reading class! In this course, students will have the opportunity to improve their reading comprehension skills while exploring a wide range of literary genres. With a focus on critical thinking and analysis, students will be challenged to analyze texts and draw conclusions about plot, character development, themes, and more. Throughout the course, we will delve into various literary works that touch on important themes such as identity, social justice, and diversity. Students will also be expected to participate in group discussions and activities aimed at strengthening their communication skills. Our curriculum includes fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama from different periods of literature. We aim to provide an engaging learning environment that allows for individual exploration while fostering a sense of community within the classroom. Furthermore, this reading class is designed to cultivate a passion for reading that extends beyond the classroom setting. Our goal is for students to leave our program with increased confidence in their reading abilities as well as an appreciation for literature. We invite all those who are passionate about learning and literature to join us on this journey towards academic excellence.
