I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance, and I am currently in classes towards my Masters of Music Education. With over 10 years of private teaching under my belt, I'm prepared to teach students of all kinds and ages. At my studio I have 2 drum sets set up for teacher and student, headphones for play along, a library of books and music, and recording capabilities. I have an electric bass that I like to use to play along with students to give them the feel of playing with another non-drummer musician. Students can learn their favorite music, or get help with music for school or other ensembles they're a part of. I absolutely do NOT favor one style over the other. I simply teach music and approach it all with the same level of passion. Rock, jazz, Funk, ...
Hi! My name is Barry and I have been teaching for over 10 years in the Fairfield County, CT area. I have had success teaching all ages, styles and abilities, from the most gifted to the physically impaired. I grew up listening to a tremendously wide range of music, and have studied classical flute, rock, jazz and classical guitar, and even the japanese shakuhachi, with some of the great minds of the instruments. I graduated high honors from Queens College with a Masters' in composition, and have had works performed by major acts in the contemporary classical scene. In jazz, I have shared the stage and recording studio with the likes of Marc Ribot and William Parker; I have quite a bit of experience as a performer that I bring to my teaching. My passion for music is addictive; I have ...

Hey all, My name is Sam W. I've been teaching private music lessons for nearly 10 years, and have enjoyed meeting new students and helping them discover their love of music. I've recently received my Masters of Music in Scoring for Film and Multimedia at NYU Steinhardt. Outside of giving lessons, I also compose music professionally for use in film, TV and the web. I specialize in teaching guitar, piano and drumkit, as well as music theory/composition and audio recording techniques and software. I look forward to helping you along on your musical journey!
I teach rudimental drumming as well as drum set. I aim to show the connection between various rudiments and grooves on the drumset.
I have been teaching both percussion and electric bass lessons for the past several years. I have had the privilege to play with musical greats, such as Curtis Fuller, Robert Glasper, and Peter Bernstein, on the upright bass and drumset. I intend to focus on concrete application of music theory and rudimentary knowledge to the instruments that I teach.
Your time and money is too precious to waste on a mediocre teacher. My students get results from the very first lesson. For over 20 years I've helped students of all ages go far beyond their goals; whether it's learning a favorite song, getting in a band, winning music scholarships, or learning music for school ensembles.
Students learn on the same high end equipment I use professionally.
My studio is always ready to record HD audio/video so students can capture their progress.
Not all teachers are the same. I've had great success as a student and a teacher; making me the best choice to help aspiring drummers reach their goals.
