*** Lesson Details ***
Being a musician is exciting, challenging, and of course, rewarding. Musicians are communicators; instruments of expression. I'm a firm believer in diligent practice habits and learning the fundamentals of one's craft. From there, the music can happen.

I offer a relaxed, comfortable learning environment that is both fun and productive. A stuffy, tense atmosphere promotes timidness, and insecurity, the opposite of the environment I foster in my studio.

Whether you're a beginner with a passion, or a professional looking to fine tune your proficiency, I can help you get to where you want to be. Diligent, concise, uncomplicated, and fun! That's how I teach.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Various keyboards, full 5 piece drum set, full production and recording facility, music scores/sheet music

*** Specialties ***
Classically trained vocalist, but can teach all styles and genres of voice. Recording engineer & producer. Versed in many styles of composition. Session drummer.

Really loved my lessons with Matt - from the get go even though he had a super busy schedule he was able to squeeze me in (because I had wanted to work on a project initially that was time-sensitive). He is very knowledgeable about techniques and I learned a lot about what the foundations of singing (starting as a complete beginner) - and feel a lot more comfortable and confident singing after. Matthew is also easy going and pleasant and happy to work on a variety of things (or one thing over and over) and so it's also just fun to take lessons with him! Wish I could continue and get even better but I have to travel soon for work for a period of time - hopefully when I'm back I'll get back to this!

Joe is fantastic for so many reasons! My son has finally bonded to his drum teacher and is engaged for a full hour lesson which is amazing! He looks forward to seeing Joe each week and is at the top of his band class at school. It is a special bond that makes children want to do well for their teacher and learn more. Joe is extremely professional and punctual as well as a pleasure to have in our home. He has really made drums something that is part of my son instead of just an instrument he has to play for school. My son needed the drums to channel his music and energy...and Joe is showing him the way!

Joe's been teaching my nine year old for several months. He shows incredible patience with my son's progress while firmly but kindly re-directing my son to the task at hand in the lesson . I see improvement in my son's playing, and he really likes working with Joe, who is always excited and passionate about music and teaching.
