Scott M.

Nazareth, PA

About Scott

Hi! I'm Scott. I perform with a one-man band setup I created which has a modified guitar and foot pedals to control a drum set while singing. I have a recording studio at home, and have performed with bands as a singer, guitarist, saxophonist, bassist, percussionist, and as a sound engineer. I've written, performed and recorded my own album which made it to the 2nd round of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, and was a voting member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Grammy Committee and NARAS (National Association or the Recording Arts and Sciences.) I started piano lessons from age 5 and just
kept picking up more instruments and gear as I got older and never stopped learning or enjoying it

*** Lesson Details ***
I have been teaching Guitars, Basses, Percussion, Piano, Saxophone, Music Production, Recording, and Live Sound for 13 years.

I can teach you note-reading, tabs, ear training, music theory, composition, improvisation in just about any style of music.

Working with people writing songs is something I enjoy thoroughly; I can help you write and record your own songs. A computer and internet access are preferred to take full advantage of the technology for learning and producing music.

Knowledgeable in Instrument repair, set-up, and maintenance, I can help you fix it, and how to spot a good instrument.

Patient and experienced, with a broad knowledge of music in most areas, I can give you hundreds of good references from previous students I've taught over the last 13years

*** Studio Equipment ***

Guitars, basses, percussion and drum sets, a piano, saxophones, hand drums, a 20-track digital recording studio with monitors that are equalized to the room's acoustics for accurate listening and mixing and an assortment of microphones, amps, mic stands, cables, and connectors and the best part ... I know how to use them all together!

Gavin L.

Bedminster, NJ

About Gavin

Teaching guitar, and music for over 13 years, 10+ years of that time spent in professional music schools and shops. In addition, I spent 6 years in a special needs school, teaching general music, and guitar to students with learning and behavior issues.
I have had the pleasure of learning from numerous guitar teachers and mentors over the years including, T.T. Quick guitarist, David Dipietro.
Recently having toured the US with national acts in the band McClinton, sharing stages with Saving Abel, Adelita's Way, Framing Hanley, Red, Winger, Steelheart, Bad Seed Rising, LA Guns and many more. I
'm proud to say that I have taken the skills I've honed during those years to stages and studios around the country.
I can help you make sense of concepts that many students find confusing. Focusing on the goals the Students wishes to achieve. Ultimately, I teach a student to be able to progress independently. Learning songs is fine, but in the end it's about learning the concepts that allow the student to learn those songs on his/her own and be able to use those elements create their own music.
I teach all styles, and levels.
Also offering lessons for Bass guitar.
Also, a heads up to those joining me at my studio. For anyone with allergies, there is a cat. She's a short hair and doesn't shed much, so I doubt it would be an issue unless someone had very severe allergies.

Chris C.

Easton, PA

About Chris

I have been playing, teaching, and recording drums for over 30 years. Lessons are balanced by combining a variety of resources all with the goal of developing the skills for students to be able to play the way they want to play.

I have taught students from age seven to sixty-seven. The range of abilities among those students included students just picking up the sticks, students active in their school music programs, students playing in bands, students working as professional drummers etc. etc. Many went on to pursue music at schools such as Berklee, Musicians Institute, Drummers Collective
, and reputable state schools.

I began my professional playing career at age 14. By age 17, I was playing in Pocono resort show bands and with a touring country act. I attended music school from 1987-1989, at East Stroudsburg University. My private studies includes time spent with individuals such as Joe Morello, Joel Rosenblatt, Bobby Grauso, and Gene Roma.

I have played or recorded with many notable artists including: Gene Perla, Shane Nicholas, Shawn Klush, Jim Weider, Frank DiBussolo and many many more. Currently, I lead my own jazz trio, the Chris Cummings Trio, which features a cast of internationally known musicians. I am the drummer with New York singer/songwriter Dave Goddess, in the Dave Goddess Group. Additionally, I freelance with many groups of every genre and have become a first call studio drummer for artists in and around the Lehigh Valley.

Most importantly, I live with my wife and four children in the Easton area of the Lehigh Valley. I've been a PTA president, a licensed school hockey coach, a YMCA volunteer, and a township athletics coach. I'm focused, patient, and kind.

5 Delightful Jazz Guitar Licks - Tabs and Audio
Having a few guitar licks up your sleeve is super helpful when you're improvising. Guitar teacher Samuel B. shares a few of his favorite jazz guitar licks... Before we begin playing these jazz guitar licks, it's a good idea to get familiar with the pentatonic scale. The pentatonic scale is a more versatile and useful scale than you might think. Age or Aptitude: When to Start Violin Lessons
