"Anna has been my teacher for close to a year now. I have played piano on and off for close to twenty years. She has a great depth of knowledge and can tea
ch all levels of skill. She has definitely helped me in areas of difficulty, IE theory, rhythm, etc. I would recommend her to anyone."

"I have been studying with Kelvin for 2 and 1/2 years. I chose him because he was the highest rated teacher in my area. The rating is well deserved. I h
ave found him to be an excellent teacher: patient, respectful, encouraging and extremely knowledgeable. I am well satisfied with my progress, especially since I had no prior musical instruction and yet was ambitious enough to take up the piano at the age of 67. I expect to continue with Kelvin for the foreseeable future, as I have not yet found the limit of what I can do."

"excellent piano teacher
My boys starting taking piano lessons with Barbara D. when they were about 7 years old. She is an amazing teacher and always make
s them feel special. She is so upbeat and enthusiastic, yet very patient with kids and their needs and moods. She will find out what kind of music they like or want to learn and then find that music at their appropriate level. It is a wonderful motivator for the kids and keeps the lessons so interesting and exciting for them. Barbara D. is a very skilled, talented artist in every way and an amazing teacher!

"My son is 13, and was very shy about his voice for a very long time. I had been searching to find an instructor for him, and then I heard about Luis from
a friend of mine. He came over and quickly was able to befriend my son, soon they where singing together, and all within the first lesson. He is personable, friendly and above all he has brought confidence to my boy. I am so grateful for his services, more than just a vocal instructor he is helping my son to grow in his confidence all around. Now my boy is singing all the time!!!
Great Vocal Instructor!"

"I've had a few piano instructors over the years. I preferred them Russian and mean because I thought that would make me a better player. It didn't. Instea
d I ended up resenting a hobby that was supposed to be fun. Enter Howard. I met him in my adult years and is probably one of the best teachers I've ever met.
There are many reasons why and I'm sure I'll remember more after writing this review...I liked how he made music theory easy to remember. I liked his encouragement. Perhaps what I remember most is his kindness and compassion. Truly a gentle human being who wants only the best for his students and wants them to progress to the best of their ability. You would be lucky to train with him."
An experienced piano & voice teacher who has taught hundreds of students in the Lansing/East Lansing area . Ages range from five to adult. I've coached voice students for auditions in school/community musicals. I've coached piano students for music performances in recitals and solo & ensemble festivals. I am also a Registered Music Therapist who has taught simplified piano lessons to students with special cognitive and physical needs. I have taught in students' homes, in my own home and at music stores. I received both a bachelor's and master's degree in music from Michigan State Universi
ty. I am caring, loving and motivating toward my students. I communicate well with people at all levels. I modify music teaching methods to meet each student's level of learning.
*** Lesson Details *** I expect my students to practice daily, bring completed homework assignments in music theory to each lesson, listen carefully and attentively to my instructions, try new techniques, ask questions, and be consistent in attending their lessons each week. I use the Alfred piano methods for children, older learners and adults, along with the Schaum Keynote Speller (Primer and Level One) for beginning piano students. If students are interested in branching off into classical music repertoire, I concentrate on musical selections that they choose from various classical composers. If they are interested in more easy-going, popular music/broadway musical selections, then we concentrate on selections that they choose. For voice students, I use the Estelle Liebling Vocal Course for vocal technique skills; and I allow them to choose songs that they are interested in learning, whether it be popular music, broadway songs, church music, or more formal styles of music. After 3-6 months, the piano students will have learned all the basic skills in reading music, developed finger coordination and sight-reading skills, and advance to a higher level of piano performance. Voice students will have learned all the vocal techniques, breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, music theory related to reading music, expressive music techniques, and performance techniques.
*** Studio Equipment *** stand up piano in living room seating for parents
*** Specialties *** Alfred Piano Courses (Children & Adult), Estelle Liebling Vocal Course,

She was kind. She was a good player, I like listening to her piano.
I have been playing bass and guitar for over 11 years. I play professionally in the NWOH/MI area, I studied music at Bowling Green State University and got my Bachelors of Music in jazz studies spring of 2012.
I am friendly, outgoing, and passionate about what I do. I love playing music, and I love talking about music!
I tend to work mainly as a "For Hire" bassist with many acts around the area; jazz, blues, rock, etc. In addition to local work I have played with major artists Balawan (Indonesia music star, Sony BMG), Mark Kroos (Touring artist, Guitar Play
er Magazine guitar player of the year), and a gig with grammy winners The New York Voices (GRP Records). I also am the house bassist at Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church, I work part time there playing bass in the house band.
In my youth, in Celina, OH. I studied guitar/bass with Matt Speca, a Berklee graduate, and early on he gave me fundamentals that led me to a lot of good things. My next teacher was Mitch Campbell, one of the few jazz guitarists in my small town. He sent me in some advanced directions and taught me about advanced harmony and theory. My next teacher John Fioriello (Eastern University graduate, touring musician) got me prepared for college. At college I studied with renowned bassist Jeff Halsey, guitarist Chris Buzzelli, and NYC recording artist David Bixler. Since graduating I consider all my friends and colleagues my teachers because you always pick things up and you never stop learning.
I love all kinds of music, I love jazz, funk, R&B, blues, rock, reggae, and even classical. Some favorite bands/artists of mine are The Beatles, Weezer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Weather Report, D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton.... the list goes on & on I hope I can turn you on to some of these artists and I hope you can turn me on to some music you like.
I love sharing the gift of music whether teaching or playing, it's definitely my true love, and my passion. Thank you for visiting my page, I hope you are interested in taking lessons.
*** Lesson Details *** The first lesson I will sit down with you and really figure out what you wanna learn and what you wanna do.
We'll learn plenty of technique, but I like to teach by playing music you like so as soon as we can we'll be playing songs you want to play and songs that I think will help you further your playing. If you want pushed, I will push you, if you wanna lay back and learn songs I will do that. Its what the student wants.
I don't require students to buy any books. I have some books that I may use in lessons, but I won't require you to buy anything although I may make recommendations.
Things you can learn from me: Chord strumming, advanced chords, theory, music notation reading, improvising, soloing, how to play in a band... anything you want to do I will get you where you want to be!
*** Studio Equipment *** Amps, keyboards, drums, stands, I got more then you need!
*** Travel Equipment *** I would only expect the student to have their instrument and notebooks.
*** Specialties *** Jazz, rock, pop, R&B, and most styles. Emphasis on playing by ear and playing with feeling. Emphasis on music theory and understanding what you're playing. Also a big emphasis on learning to have fun.

I had taken lessons years ago from a music store and my experience with Adam was wonderful compared to my previous experience. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and am ready to continue.

Adam is an excellent instructor. He kept my 9 year old granddaughter motivated from week to week. He made learning "fun" & designed his instruction around the kind of music she is interested in. He kept her challenged with things to practice from week to week. Adam is great with kids and I highly recommend him for anyone wanting to learn or expand their knowledge of guitar. Adam is not only talented, but very personable.

I really enjoyed having Adam as a Ukulele instructor! He was very friendly, professional and accommodating. He went out of his way to find songs for me to learn that were within my ability. I've never played a musical instrument before and he not only taught me the basics of how to play the ukulele, but some fundamental music principals. Adam even took the time to research how to help me fix my ukulele when the supplier I bought it from was no help. He is a very talented musician and is patient with beginners. I would highly recommend Adam if you are looking for a music instructor!

I am a professional pianist. I have been teaching piano since 2007. I teach private piano lessons from beginner to advanced level. Style and length of lessons can always be customized depending on students' interest and goal.
I started playing piano at the age of 4. I earned a Bachelor's degree from Taipei Municipal University of Education in Taiwan, and a Master's degree in piano performance from Kent State University. It is exciting that you are thinking about piano lessons! Music is one of the most amazing ways that each human being can nurture their relationship with themselves and their world. Whatever your goals are, it is my primary purpose as your teacher to help you achieve your personal best via musical discoveries and experiences.
I have been teaching for six years, and I enjoy it immensely. I have taught traditional and non-traditional students, and I am familiar with multiple piano methods. I have taken undergraduate piano pedagogy courses with two well-known professors in the field,
