"My daughter (8) and I both began guitar lessons from Steve over this past summer to try something new, and we really enjoyed having Steve as a teacher! I
found him to be very friendly and easy-going, and was very patient with us both being beginners. He did a great job encouraging proper technique and good guitar habits - the things you cannot just learn from a book. My daughter had never had music lessons of any sort before, and I have played other instruments for 25+ years; despite our different backgrounds and level of musical knowledge, Steve was able to teach both of us effectively. I believe his ability to differentiate teaching style and instructional pace speaks to his overall knowledge of music, of guitar, and especially to his ability as a teacher. I would happily recommend Steve as a guitar teacher to anyone, either adult or child!"

Technically, I am not a student of Mr. Moulton but I have sung with him in choirs and, as a chorister, I have sung under
his direction. In addition, as a member of the audience I have heard Mr. Moulton sing and I have seen him direct. I also know him and his family as personal friends. It is with great pleasure that I give Mr. Moulton an enthusiastic endorsement as an excellent, serious, dedicated, hardworking musician."

"Hi, I'm 9 years-old and I think Ruth is very nice!!!!! She understands how you can sometimes feel uncomfortable, and she puts me at ease. I'd say that onc
e you've had 3 lessons with her you'd feel completely comfortable with her. But I was comfortable with her at 2!! She teaches you how to sing in a healthy way, and teaches you how to take care of your vocal cords. Long story short, if you take her class you will love it!!!"
To whom much is given, much is expected this quote impeccably describes LadySonya, an extraordinary talent in the Music Industry with an aspiration to use her skills to chase her dreams while inspiring others as well. LadySonya currently instructs piano lessons to aspiring music producers/artists as well as major music producers & artists in the industry, LadySonya Music Studio, in Atlanta, Ga. Just after starting the company in March 2008, LadySonya has consulted with numerous celebrity producers/artist such as Fat Boi, Kyron Leslie, Justice League, and others who have worked on tracks from a
rtists such as Usher, Travis Porter, Jody Breeze, Young Money, and more with the assistance of her networking skills and knowledge base structure of Music Theory. Nevertheless, it is her remarkable story of faith, dedication, and sacrifice that has genuinely defined the young professional, what lures many to her, and why she remotely continues to build her influential empire as a true business lady.
In 2007, LadySonya, a Georgia Peach native from Columbus, Georgia, and transfer student from Troy University to Georgia State University, began her life shift of miserably working 2-3 part-time jobs to prosper through college. In less than one year of living in Atlanta, LadySonya quit her part-time job as stock for Ross Department Store and decided to follow her dreams of being in the music industry. With no money saved, nothing but a Radio-Shack 76-key keyboard, and one year of college experience, she decided to start her own business of teaching piano lessons. She found a contracted job to teach at Tarang School of Music & Arts, Suwanee, Georgia, and began to make her infamous mark. LadySonya also found various online sites to assist with marketing her newly established company. Many supporters on social media such as face book & twitter began to take notice of LadySonya's swift entrepreneurial progression and in May of 2009 LadySonya held her 1st annual Spring Recital for LadySonya Music Studio Company. The event inspired 75+ guests. Once the company began to bloom more she began to hold recitals twice a year, one in May and the other in December, filling the venue with up to 150+ guest per show. In 2011, LadySonya decided to take her name to the next level by writing her life story testimony of how she went through 7 part-times jobs in one year span along with almost giving up everything to move back to Columbus. During the summer months of 2011 LadySonya organized her very own Network (iNetworkDoYou) to help aspiring entrepreneur/music industry by encouraging them to gain valuable information to help them along the way.
Often mistaken for a fashion model, LadySonya is a celebrity piano instructor, with a lively girl next door attitude. However anyone views her, this young lady is establishing her brand as a music mogul, exercising her inner power to become highly successful.
It is dedication, drive, and determination that lead the role-model LadySonya to reach out to her numerous supporters and fans by creating an Annual Vision Board Extravaganza (2012) to empower others to reach follow their dreams, annually host two music recitals for the students to grow out of being shy musicians, create Lady University Movement to mentor young & older ladies desiring to be leaders, and assemble frequently as a motivational speaker and panelist as a entrepreneur inspirational expert.
Shut Up and Drive is the mental note that pushed LadySonya to the next level to be more than a piano teacher, but a business lady with ongoing dreams of being the next Oprah, with a diva attitude as Beyonce, and musician skills of Alicia Keys. She works day in and day out to build her empire of being a role model- I am LadySonya.
With strong family & spiritual backbone, LadySonya believes her ultimate purpose in life is to indeed inspire others to stay focused. Her alter-ego LadySonya is known to give you that extra boost of confidence and internal drive to set goals and achieve them. However you view LadySonya, as a musician, artist, entrepreneur, model or even social networker, know that she is on top of her business/brand and she's working hard to touch lives like never before with making her dreams come to reality.

*** Lesson Details *** What students can expect from the lesson is "learning".
I am a very relaxed, fun, and motivated teacher. I teach everything from classical to gospel to country to pop music. One thing you will find out from my lessons are you are "learning" rather than "memorizing". Lessons are structured to the students needs. I put my all into the lesson to the last minute or maybe run a minute over but at the end I know I've done my job!
I like to make it fun, so I encourage students to bring in music they would like to learn even if I have to simplify it a bit!
I also try to teach different tricks to learn the theory.

She is doing a great job keeping my son engaged in each lesson. He even enjoys his "homework"! Keep up the good work.
Music is my passion, my hobby, my career and my gift. I have been performing since age 7 and teaching for the last 25 years. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in music and love to share my knowledge and experience with all ages and aptitudes - even special needs. My approach to teaching is fun but serious, laid-back but encouraging, demanding but forgiving. I teach students how to be disciplined with their practice and how to make the most of their limited time.
*** Lesson Details *** I can help you achieve your goals! For those who want a well-rounded music education, I inclu
de music theory (note and rhythm reading), technique, ear training, improvisation and performance practice in my curriculum using a variety of methods. I enjoy working with adults interested in picking up their instrument after a number of years. Perhaps you are someone interested in pursuing an ability to play a certain style - pop, jazz, hymns, oldies, classics, or certain artists. I customize our lessons to match your objectives. My students have an opportunity to perform publicly several times a year which encourages practice and also builds confidence. After a few lessons, I can provide an idea of where a student will be in 3-6 months. You can always expect to find me prepared with fun ideas for our lesson. I have a grand piano as well as several keyboards to add variety and fun to our lessons.
*** Studio Equipment *** home-grand piano in living room seating for parents church- digital piano and seating for parents
*** Travel Equipment *** I would bring my own violin to demonstrate but would expect students to have their own instrument.
*** Specialties *** For piano, I use Faber & Faber, Alfred, Bastien and Music for Little Mozarts. I include sight reading books, rhythm workbooks, improv studies, and later scales and arpeggios. For violin I have created my own hybrid using traditional methods and Suzuki.

Ms. Shannon's lessons are fun and exciting. I wasn't sure if I was going to like taking lessons even though I did want to learn to play. She makes the lessons fun and she is very patient and not intimidating.

Shannon is an excellent teacher. She makes the lessons fun. She helps the student feel confident in their abilities. Shannon encourages the student to meet the challenges they face. She understands each of her student's strengths and challenges and develops individualized lessons to meet their needs. She helps students feel comfortable during her lessons and makes sure they can practice independently with confidence. She hosts recitals so her students have chance to show off their skills and socialize with each other. I would highly recommend Shannon as a piano teacher.

She encourages and gives detailed instuctions and is genourous with her time. And plays guitar very well at a level I could only dream of. She helped me remember a song I knew. And taught me different ways to play songs that I already know.
I also want to add that Aimee has been an excellent teacher, who is so very patient and talented!

First time ever learning to play an instrument and I must say I love Aimee! She knows her matter, and is very encouraging. I'm already playing and learning how to read music. I am truly happy I found her!
The mission of my studio is to create well-rounded, educated musicians who will always have a lifelong passion for the art no matter their long-term goals. I strive for my students to be:
(1) Lifelong learners who develop successful learning habits. (2) Creative and critical thinkers who will become effective communicators. (3) Responsible and respectful members of society who respect other cultures. (4) Able to set short-term and long-term goals and be able to see them through to their success.
It is of the utmost importance that my stude
nts are well-educated in their chosen instrument; they must know and understand music and music-making. Students who can play are a dime a dozen, but students who understand the music they are playing are often hard to find. I teach students to know music thoroughly, not just to “play.” I desire my students to comprehend elements of the score, to use their bodies effectively to make good sound, and to interpret music creatively and according to historical performance practices across all genres of music. Thus, I give students a purposeful education in technique, quality literature, performance and artistry, music theory, and music history.
Although students differ in ability and development, I maintain high expectations for our students. I expect attention and respect in lessons, faithful and diligent practice, careful adherence to instructions, and an “I’ll-do-my-best” attitude. If students regularly meet these expectations, then they will excel to the level that they are able. It is my joy to help students master their music, to do the best they can, and to strive for and achieve excellence.
Lastly, I want students to enjoy and appreciate their instrument, music, and music-making; and we know as teachers, we are very influential in making this happen. Students develop enjoyment of music by understanding music, experiencing success in music, being exposed to good and varied genres of music, and receiving instruction from a teacher who is enthusiastic and encouraging. It is our goal to provide all of these opportunities for students, and as a result their lives will be enriched as they enjoy their instrument.

Maria has been an absolute blessing for our family. Piano is something both my wife and I wanted for our children to learn, but having 4 boys where their interests are only video games and football, it can be difficult. Also since my wife and I are from from musical, we had absolutely no clue what to expect. We had gone through 3 other teachers where our kids didn't advance at all. Maria was our last try and we are so thankful for the referral.
Maria really connects with the boys and they absolutely love her. To top it off, she's very motivating, organized, and for the first time with any teacher, she had an action plan. We knew where are kids were with progress regularly. We also we informed how to keep them motivated at home and how to get them to practice. My oldest son (14) has gone through 3 levels in 1.5 years and has actually been asking about joining the jazz band at his school. My 3 other sons (6,8,9) have been steadily going through the levels and most importantly are able to apply what they are learning to music Maria doesn't teach them. My 8 year old was actually describing what a chord progression was the other day to his grandfather and used the word cadence. I had to google what that meant on my phone!
Her location is also perfect. As long as they have something to do, Maria doesn't mind them sitting in the living room while she teaches a lesson so it enables me to run to the grocery store or bank which are less than 2 miles from her home while the kids are in lessons.
We are extremely pleased with Maria and I would recommend her to anyone. She is worth every single penny. Our family will be moving to John's Creek this October and we will be making the drive once a week through Atlanta traffic happily.
