I have taught hundreds of students on all levels and styles over the years and to answer your question yes anyone can play if they invest the time needed to learn and yes you are gonna have clumsy fingers from ...

After a month studying under Jimmy my guitar skills have skyrocketed. I didn't realize how much I was stuck on a plateau until I compare recordings from a month ago. Jimmy has assisted me in reaching new levels of lead guitar and knowledge of theory so that I am now playing lead roles and improvising beyond what I thought capable. I have the technique, skills and self confidence to take lead with my band, and my fellow band members have all asked what my secret has been in my phrasing and solo's; the secret is simple a great instructor and structured practice. Now my practice time is much more productive. Jimmy really understands how to custom teach and improve weaknesses I was unable to even understand without his help. Thanks Jimmy for helping me reach new goals and my true potential.

After 2 lessons with Jimmy I have improved on my overall technique and cleaning up my tones as well increased speed; more progress than past two months. Jimmy is extremely knowledgeable and takes you to the next level. If you listen to his instruction and do the practice time you will improve. I'll be so much more prepared for my next gig. Thanks Jimmy!

My teenager has had lessons with Jacob for 3 years, first guitar, then piano. He has a great personality and is a very encouraging teacher. She never once wanted to quit and never complained about going to the lessons, even with an otherwise very busy schedule, which is a testament to him and his teaching. He is a very dedicated and talented musician, and was always willing to work with whatever songs she wanted to learn. I would highly recommend him for any age kid or adult.

Ben U.

Columbus, OH

Throughout my studies of theory and harmony, I realized how valuable it is to learn the basics of the guitar. I studied the guitar independently to learn the fingerings of the most useful chords. Students anxious to be able to play a song right off the bat are often pleased to discover that they can play through a whole song using only two or three chords. The guitar provides students with endless possibilities; they can experiment with different rhythms, never having to play a song the same way twice.

I grew up listening to classical music; I remember listening to a Mozart and a Grieg tape over and over again. By high school, I was interested in more recent popular music that carried on in the same tradition of greatness. Andrew Lloyd Webber first caught my attention. From there, I listened to the music of the ‘60s and became quite knowledgeable in the British Invasion. My ear for this type of music allows me to teach the guitar and provide students with an ample repertoire.
