Welcome! Students can expect a solid technical foundation that will prepare them for the standard repertoire. My studio is a warm, friendly, fun place. I love to laugh and make music with my students. Music is above all an art form, a way of expressing yourself and make beauty out of life.

About Fiona

Hello! Welcome to my teacher profile.

I am an experienced violin teacher in the Tucson area. Simply put, I love teaching music and I am a passionate educator, for beginners and advanced students alike. My teaching philosophy is to cater to an individual student's needs and discover what will work best to help you grow as a musician.

I began my violin training as a child in the Barcel Suzuki String Academy in Wisconsin and spent my formative years studying violin and chamber music with Dr. Myron Kartman. I hold a Bachelor of Violin Performance from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where I was the recipient of a Bradley Foundation Scholarship and served as Concertmaster of the university orchestra, graduating with highest honors. I continued my advanced studies with Robert Hanford, concertmaster of the Lyric Opera of Chicago. I

have played with the Houston Civic Symphony, the Wolf Trap Opera, and chamber music festivals in the U.S. and Europe. I am a proud member of the American String Teachers Association.

With me, I like to make sure that the students are going at their own pace and have more of a say so in what they want to do for their goals. Whether it be a classical song they love or learning a hip hop song from the radio, in order to make the experience personal to them I want the student to first identify what they want and use it as a goal to keep lessons productive and fun.

About Leanne

I am a classically trained violinist and performer. I have my own business where I also play Hip Hop, RnB, Jazz, and other genres for events such as parties and weddings. I am currently a junior Music Performance Major at Hampton University but I am originally from Atlanta, GA and I always come home for the summer. I love teaching and spreading the love of music❤️

Private Violin Teacher

I teach all levels, and have a systematic approach to daily practice and violin technique that yields results for students of any ability. In addition to their work on the instrument, I encourage students to compose and explore a wide range of music (not all necessarily for violin). I also have extensive international performing experience.

About Kenneth

I currently serve as Teaching Assistant to Itzhak Perlman and Li Lin at The Juilliard School, after completing my Bachelor's and Master's degrees there.

I began performing internationally as soloist and chamber musician at the age of 16 with orchestras including the China Philharmonic, National Orchestra of Belgium, the Staatskapelle Weimar, California Symphony, and the Lithuanian National Orchestra. I've won top prizes in the Queen Elisabeth, Louis Spohr, and Yehudi Menuhin International violin competitions (2015, 2010, 2012 respectively).

I teach all levels, with a systematic approach to violin technique in the tradition of Ivan Galamian combined with a nurturing personal approach customized to each individual student's needs.

What I look for in musicians is that anyone is able to unlock their potential and become the violinist you desire. I’ve played for 11 years and have taught two years of lessons. The aim is to improve bit by bit, which is necessary, but for the best results. Fun is part of this process, so expect to be productive but enjoy yourself!

About Tyler

I am a violin player for 11 years with vast experience in the music world. I am currently a student at Temple University, studying for my degree in Music Therapy. Music is a passion and I greatly embrace it.

I tend to make music lessons fun for everyone and teaching is something I love! I provide proper feedback and ensure growth in students.

I have participated in many orchestras from grade school up to university. I participated in a music string camp at Florida State University in 2014.

Temple University has another orchestra in which I joined in 2018 called Owlchestra, a community orchestra that performs a concert at the end of term. I greatly enjoy the group and we bond musically and as friends.

I am based in classical music training, but I have small exposure to bluegrass, klezmer and jazz.

"I've been learning the violin as a 40-year-old adult with Emily for several months. She is great. I'd recommend her 100%."
Karen
"KarenH

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the progress our son Thomas made with Dan. Thomas started playing last year and was progressing faste
r than the rest of his third grade class which is why we were looking for a private teacher to help him along. Before taking lessons with Dan I had a hard time getting Thomas to practice. Thomas has begun practicing all on his own because he has been genuinely inspired. Dan is a true professional who always on time and in a good mood to teach. He was so patient with Thomas and developed practice techniques unique to Thomas's situation. Dan is more than just a violin teacher, he is dedicated to inspiring each student to love music. Thanks Dan!!!"

My son is proud to have studied under him. We highly recommend Mr. Nicolas Repetto to anyone looking for an amazing music teacher!"
