*** Lesson Details ***
I do my absolute best to create a positive atmosphere for my students. Even when the students feel frustrated or stressed, it is important to inspire them and give them the fuel that they need. Though I am strict when it comes to homework and their about their studies. Every lesson at the beginning I will review what we learned previously and test them.
then begin with proper breathing technique exercises, the cornerstone of all vocals. We move on to vocal exercises to condition the voice. Then we work on the songs that you are eager to sing!

I will use a piano when doing vocal warm ups and conditioning exercises. Students that play other instruments and accompany themselves when performing (such as a guitar) are encouraged to bring that instrument to their lessons. My goal is for them to gain the knowledge that they need to help reach their artistic goals.
With all my lessons every student will be taught a basic run down of Music Theory. My students will always progress in what they do. They will have the discipline that they need and yet have fun and be filled with inspiration. Which is the most important thing, to be Inspired to do better.

I do have a portable keyboard. Though I do expect the student to have their own recording device and karaoke tracks. At Home I do have a studio, and if the students has an iPod or an Mp3 player I can attach it to a device where all of us can hear the tracks. I do have a recording studio as well.

I specialize in Musical Theatre, and Pop rock genres. When I teach my students I always have them learn a song of another language whether it's Spanish or Japanese. It helps with diction when they learn a song outside the English Language. Also It helps them to learn another Language at the same time. Also I give them a little anatomy class when they are learning how to sing. I give them a model of the vocal Chords and different areas of the Larynx and which part works for the chest voice and the head voice.

I work in Sales and do a lot of talking to the point I was losing my voice at the end of the day. My wife suggested in taking singing lessons cause she heard that it improves your speaking. So I was browsing around and found Rosita. I had no idea Vocal Training could also be just for improving your speaking voice. I loved Jackson so much. He helped me understand completely new concepts and helped me learn things that will help me in my singing career. He takes a completely original approach to teaching and singing theory, and it really improves how you perform. I would definitely recommend him to someone who is comfortable with their singing voice, but wants to take it to the next level. But I'm sure he is great with everyone!

I have studied it (and English Literature) for many years, then eventually won a scholarship to study/travel in Mexico for six months. I returned from Mexico fluent, graduated from college with honors in language and Humanities, then decided to go live in Washington, DC to use that language. I got into corporate training, working 10 years at Fannie Mae as I traveled to 38 of the 50 states to help them train banks on their financial systems. If you are looking for a Spanish teacher look no further! Naomi is a very skilled and phenomenal teacher. I have taken her class for the last 10 months and I truly can see the progress I have made with her teaching style. She not only has set lessons from the book, but she will bring real-world examples such as food, newspapers, and music! I recently traveled to the Dominican Republic and I was amazed at how easily I was able to hold a conversation. The people there let me know that my Spanish was very good. It was definitely a compliment for me. I believe that a student is only as good as their teacher. Naomi is the right teacher!

I just finished 5 lessons with Mark and it was just what I needed to help me improve my speaking skills. He assigned homework each week (the reason I initially chose him) that was based on our lessons. It pushed me to grow. I found him to be quite competent, gentle with correction, and pretty funny. You'll enjoy him!

I am Jose, graduated as an undergrad at Towson University and currently enrolled at University of Maryland. My career is focus on Spanish Literature and Latin American Studies. While majoring on those careers, I participated on a work study group as a tutor in Spanish Linguistics, Culture, and History. I am originally from Peru and have been a volunteer teaching, assisting, and leading educational plans in Mexico and Peru. I enjoy teaching because it connects different people who share similarities and differences culturally and willing to learn about one another.
My experience comes from teaching abroad in both rural areas and cities in Latin America. Currently working at Wolfe Street Academy as the Spanish program coordinator which serves students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds. I enjoy merging methodologies and differentiating to
help students overcome their learning difficulties. Hence, strengthening their learning weaknesses and polishing their learnings’ strengths.
While studying Spanish, I learn that teaching a language is not solely about grammar but rather the culture and structure behind it. Grammar nonetheless is part of the language and a co-requirement to excel academically. My qualifications comes from my multicultural methodology where I teach and provide students resources to self-learn and structure their metacognitive abilities. Merging both culture and language provides opportunities to research, creative write, independent study themes and topics related to the language of Spanish. My interdisciplinary vision provides students the ability to learn grammar not as a base but a tool to comprehend, critical think, and synthesize own their own perceptions and opinions about its culture.
Being a teacher means that one once was a student. The value of learning different things and paying attention to details while having fun in discovering and researching has make craft my abilities to teach the particular subjects describe previously.
