This is the first lesson I got to listen to of my son working with Nathan. Usually I'm not home from work. I am really impressed with how much he was able to help my son improve so quickly. I wish we had started this much sooner.

French Horn is a beautiful instrument and has some of the best parts to play in bands and orchestras, as well as small ensembles and even jazz bands.

If you're just starting out or even if you've been playing for a while, you've got questions and I've got answers. We'll work on breathing and tone to get the most amazing sound we can.

Generally, we will start out in the Essential Elements band method but we will soon move on to more traditional French Horn specific methods to take advantage of the uniqueness of the instrument.

Bebe is a fun person and Talented Teacher, Bebe knows how to takes the stress from the student and gives them the tools they need to succeed. I love going to Bebe's location and having my daughter get that one on one with her. My daughter was scared to have lesson because she was worried about being judged and Bebe helps them get over that. My daughter thought she was an Alto because everyone would tell her that. But as soon as she started going to Bebe she told her she was not she has more range then that and she is a Mezzo-Soprano. If you want a teacher who is friendly and supporting you need Bebe.. Thank you Bebe for everything you do...

I have been teaching for over 5 years and love working with horn players of all levels. I realize that each student is unique and always approach individual lessons with my student's particular goals in mind. I have a basic curriculum that I use in order to build a solid musical foundation for my students, but I am open to working on whatever kind of music or repertoire that they may enjoy. I love being able to expand my students' knowledge and appreciation of the world of music. It is always exciting to me when a student achieves a goal they habe set or learns a new skill that helps them in their musical expression.

About Rachel

I am a freelance horn player with a passion for teaching both horn and piano. I have a Bachelor's of Music from The University of Arizona and a Master's of Music from California State University Long Beach. I have been teaching privately and in group settings for over 5 years and really enjoy g

The concept is simple: empowerment to generate mastery on your instrument. I like to work with you at your level, from beginner and up. My goal is to not only help you understand the mechanics of the instrument, but to empower you to create as limitlessly as possible on it. I will be working with you on things such as rhythm, ear training, embouchre development, breath control, sight reading, understanding musical notation and terminology and beyond through a few of my own techniques.

I have found the best approach to doing this is by selecting music that you like to listen to and play, as it is much more fun to practice something that you enjoy rather than doing busywork to build skill.

About Tyler

Hi, I'm Tyler! Born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico, I am the son of a band director. That being said, I have literally been involved in music since I was an infant! I played trombone, bass trombone, and bass guitar all the way through high school, and went to New Mexico State University where I

Tyler arrived early, spent lots of time with my unruly daughter, and kept her on track! He's a good combination of fun/playful but also has a natural authority so that my daughter actually listens to his instruction. Well done and thank you Tyler!

Great first lesson - looking forward to the next one.
Nicolas O.
I feel like I learned a lot in an hour and he really helped me find an anchor point that I can go back to if I am stuck on a note. I realized that he went over every proven method that I learned throughout my experiences from elementary school to highschool and then added on to them by explaining how these methods help. He even showed me methods usually taught to college musicians.

The reason I always believed in private lessons is because no matter how few or how many you take, the learning process gets expedited immensely.

I definitely would recommend this teacher for learning a brass instrument.

I have 21 years of experience teaching middle school through high school band students. I have been a head band director for all 21 years, with many students earning music scholarships, receiving superior ratings at solo and ensemble festival, as well as positions in all-region and all-state band. My bands have been known for playing well, being selected as an Oklahoma Music Educators' Association Honor group as well as the Music for All National Festival. I am hoping to help students who do not have band classes now due to the school closures but am happy to teach anyone interested. Students will find me patient and engaging. I absolutely love band and can't wait to teach you or your child!

About Craig

Nice to meet you! I have 21 years of experience as a head band director. During these 21 years, I taught students from 6th grade through high school. I attended the University of Oklahoma and have orchestral experience, as well as experience conducting an adult community band and am an assistant

Craig Amendt is a fantastic teacher. He was my first band teacher ever and taught me private lessons for the first few years on my instrument. He instilled a love of music in me that carried me all the way through college and is still huge part of my life. I’m now a music educator as well and it may have never happened if Craig hadn’t been my first teacher. I highly recommend Craig as a teacher because he is passionate and dedicated, and he will give you the tools to be successful no matter what age or level of player that you are.

"Rebecca is the best teacher ever!!! I wasn't able to find a French horn teacher for a long time because really good ones like her are hard to come by. She has improved my musical skill dramatically from a person who knew what a horn was and could play it very poorly to a person who could play the Star Spangled Banner without messing up."

"Olivier has without a doubt helped my daughter improve in ways that I (as a former French Horn player) could not. He is patient and pleasant as well as intelligent. Most importantly he has given my daughter the necessary tools she's needed. He doesn't just say "play higher" or "do it again". Instead he tells her exactly HOW she can get better and exactly WHAT techniques she needs to do to improve. I have seen a noticeable difference in 8 lessons and look forward her future success with Olivier."

"Rebecca is fantastic. My son started lessons with her when he was eleven and she formed a rapport with him quickly, meeting him where his interests and abilities lay. He is fourteen now and she keeps him engaged and interested. When the physical demands of horn playing become taxing she teaches theory and composition. She has been responsible for so much of his growth as a musician and a person and is a delightful person to be around, smart, funny and thoughtful. I cannot recommend her highly enough!"
