About Jason
TakeLessons.com Instructor since 2005, Jason M. is now available for online lessons worldwide featuring multiple-camera angles and a share screen experience leaving no stone un-turned!

Jason has been playing guitar for over 15 years and teaching music since 1996. Although trained in standard teaching methods, he has developed his own method of teaching to positively enhance the student€™s strength, dexterity, ear-training, memorization and techniques. His goal as a teacher is specifically designed to help you achieve your goals as an artist and a musician.

This year Jason was also the Music Director at the National Guitar Workshop Day Jams Rock Music Day Camp where students ages 7-15 came out to form bands, record original material and master their craft. He also taught beginning to advanced guitar/ vocals/ performance and songwri
ting as hosted a recording clinic at the end of each day.

Jason has host student showcases/charity benefits where his students were able to get on stage and show off their new talent and perform with other musicians. It wasn't mandatory though, if you were just looking to come out and support there was no pressure other than to come out and have fun.

Jason has been transcribing for guitar and bass since the age of 18 and since then has become a master of the craft including both 5 line staff and tablature, hand-crafted exercises and deconstructions to better enhance the students learning. Artists and genres that Jason has experience with range from Classic Rock, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Guns N' Roses, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Robert Johnson, Pierce the Veil, Paramore, All Time Low, Demi Lava to, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold, The White Stripes, Green Day, Old Crow Medicine Show, Taylor Swift, Mumford and Sons, Bruno Mars, Rob Zombie, John 5, Audioslave, Rage Against the Machine, Van Morrison, the Beatles, AC/DC, ZZ-Top, Bullet For My Valentine, All That Remains, Ozzy, Black Label Society, Sublime, Aerosmith, At the Drive In, Type O Negative, the Black Keys, the Pixies, the Toadies, Black Sabbath, Jason Mraz, Lady GaGa, John Mayer and Journey.

Jason attended the University of Alaska, Anchorage where his degree is in Music and Business. He is constantly continuing his education with music theory courses as well as private guitar instruction. He attends guitar workshops and seminars by artists such as John5 and Kerry King who are known as some of the worlds finest guitar players. He reviews every day from a wide range of over 1000 sources working to become a better musician and instructor.

Another nice feature that you might enjoy from one on one sessions with Jason is learning the ability to craft and record your own songs using state of the art technology that caters to your own unique personality. There are no limits!

Jason teaches all experience levels from beginner to intermediate and advanced as well as artists that are signed to labels.

Local news outlet Fox 5 did a segment with one of his students who overcame issues with ADD and depression as a result of taking guitar lessons.

His students advance quickly, some have released albums, been in Guitar World Magazine as well as its online companion and won awards for their music websites.

Got an A!!!

I'm usually a horrible mathematics student but this semester I was taking calculus which is daunting on its own even for students who have been taking mathematics. I have had a 5 year gap from my studies and Varna has been excellent, she helped me work my way up from an F to an A!!! I would recommend her for ALL my future mathematics classes.

About Tamari (Tamara)
Hi, there! I'm Tamara and I can't wait to meet you!

On social media and for those who are more familiar, I'm Tamari. We all learn in different ways; some are more visual; others, auditory; some, kinesthetic--I combine a number of different modalities in my teaching, including direct feedback-teaching--once you learn a concept or skill, teach it, as soon as you possibly can, to someone else! -- this reinforces your own knowledge of the skill or concept!
I've been teaching private lessons for many years and have loved helping my students acquire new skills, master new pieces, and prepare for concerts and performances. Over the years, my younger students have earned Blue and Gold ratings at the Young Musicians' Festival in Fairfield U., some of them earning gold cups: This is a statewide event to encourage long-term commitment
to the art, discipline and joy of music making.
I went to Indiana University's Jacob School of Music and earned a Masters in Piano Performance, and Composition in the '90's. I sang all types of vocal music as well as prepared singers with vocal coaching and voice development techniques 20+ years.
I'm fun loving, patient, and optimistic-- these traits carry through in my teaching style,
One Size does NOT fit all--I approach the lesson plans for each student tailored to your learning style.
Over the past 23 years, my life experiences have encompassed other disciplines and compelled me to learn and acquire many other skills: my liberal arts as well as fine arts education lent itself to helping me work administrative jobs and even expanded into sales and public speaking. I have coached after school and SAT preparation to High School and College age students, helped with the preparation of legal and analytical documents, creative writing and editing assignments; and even tutored computer, social media and Microsoft Office & iWork Suite of applications to older adults.

I look forward to helping you reach your goals

It was a pleasure working with Tamari Witkin over the years that she was located in Milford and participated in the Schubert Club of Fairfield County. I am familiar with her piano performance, which was high level, showing fine musicianship and great sensitivity to the message of the pieces.
I have also sung with her; and again, she shows a high degree of musicianship!

Jordin is a very responsible and magnificent French teacher.
Three months ago, my son started French for his upcoming freshman school year.
In the first 2 weeks, he was shy because of the complex pronunciations and alien words.
After that, he began speaking to us in simple French phrases and he is very proud of learning French with Jordin.
She never made any excuses to us.
We really need someone like her. A thousand applauds to her!

M. Marie Roche conducted on the campus of U Mass eight seminars--open to all--on two of Shakespeare's history plays, King John and Richard II. Neither play is popular with modern Shakespeare-going audiences. But she accomplished the nearly impossible--making both plays compelling and relevant by her selection of background documents and themes. I hope that TakeLessons can provide an adequate platform for her level of sophistication.

I have an M.S. in organic chemistry and have been tutoring chemistry full time for the past five years since graduation. I've helped students locally at nearly every college in Western Mass, and I have thousands of hours experience tutoring online for students across the United States and world, including at UPenn, Stanford, Columbia, Wellesley and many others.

Organic chemistry is unique in the way that first principles build on each other throughout the course. I am an expert at breaking O-Chem down into fundamental concepts so that you can spend less time memorizing, and more time understanding. I can also identify various tips and tricks along the way that Professors seem to keep secret!

I own all the common organic textbooks and I can work with you with whatever book you use. I also can give you various problem sets if you wan

Matt is the reason I got an A in Organic Chemistry II. He is very patient and explains concepts very clearly. Matt tutored me for both Organic Chemistry I and II. His lessons were incredibly effective. My Organic Chemistry professor is known as a very challenging Orgo professor at my school and any difficult concepts and questions that I would bring to Matt, he researched efficiently, and discussed with me at length until I understood the topics. He took the time to meet with me when it was good for my schedule, even if it was at inconvenient hours like late evening during the weekends, etc. Whether it was working at difficult practice problems my professor would assign, practice test questions, textbook problems, or simply deciphering the terminology of Organic Chemistry, Matt was a huge help and helped me develop my passion for Organic Chemistry!

About Katie
Hi! I have been a nurse for 17 years, and I love teaching! I have worked in all areas of healthcare, and have tons of stories to share. I got my PhD in nursing in 2009, and study innovative ways to teach students that are holistic and student focused. You come first.

I have 3 small children who keep me very busy. But somehow it's never busy enough for me! I always need to be doing something, and MAKING things is my passion. I do all the textile arts (knitting, quilting, sewing, etc), and love construction (electrical, plumbing, woodwork, and anything that involves power tools). I believe these are life skills for anyone, but especially for women who often didn't grow up learning all the "how to’s." I create a comfortable environment, and believe laughter is one of the best ways for learning to happen.

I look forward to meeting you, an
d getting you the skills you are looking for!
