Learn chords, strumming and finger-style patterns and how to play your favorite songs on the ukulele! Ukulele is a wonderful instrument for young children to start their music education on, as well as a great course of study for adults and especially guitarists wanting to improve their chord theory. I believe that learning music should be as fun and inspiring as it can be to play, and the Ukulele is a great first instrument for people interested in learning to play any stringed instrument.
Its small size makes it easier for little fingers to handle, and the low-tension nylon strings are more comfortable for beginners to press against the fretboard. Plus, it's portable, so you can take it just about anywhere!
We all have a vast wellspring of creative energy within us, and the goal of the relationship between the student and the teacher is to help nurture and develop that latent talent. For this reason, my approach to teaching music is highly individualized. I start out with the premise that the student has unique gifts and my job is to help them discover what those are, and develop and refine them in order to make beautiful and deeply satisfying music, through whatever instrument and in whatever style they are drawn towards.
Depending on one's starting level of ...

I especially enjoy when we summarize a lesson and decide some clear goals for the next week, making practicing on my own time easy-breezy. He knows a lot, (like A LOT) about the guitar, and music in general, and communicates theory/concepts clearly. I've learned so much about finger picking and how to navigate the fret board, and the progress I see in myself is incredibly motivating.
Lessons are fun and are always a highlight in my week. Schedule a few lessons and see for yourself! Truly the best instructor on here.

Ukulele is such a fun instrument to start on at anytime in life. Easy to press strings for the small child, easy to hold, easy to learn chords and songs. I will teach you to read music, tab and chord diagrams. Strumming is fun and can be done with the fingers or felt pick. I specialize in fingerstyle.

Aaron has continued to help me perfect me skills as a ukulele player. My family has been very impressed with the improvements I have made with Aaron. My wife especially has noticed how much quicker my fingers have gotten! Aaron has proven to be reliable, up beat, positive and he listens to what I want to learn and hears what I need to perfect.
