Sulina Baek is a good teacher that I had the fortune of working with over the past 2-3 months. She is patient and gives useful coaching tips to improve technique. At the same time, I never felt overwhelmed with too much information during our lessons. Sulina kept everything manageable and actionable and that helped me make a lot of progress. Thus we often covered a lot of ,music lesson, and frequently ran out of time. She is also very knowledgeable in canon and in theory, which has helped me figure out what standard to aim at during my own practice. Sulina helped me turn my motivation into audible results.

Thank you!

Luther is an excellent and patient teacher. I’ve been playing guitar for nearly a decade, but have been self-taught and always neglected working on the fundamentals. With extra time on my hands during the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to try online guitar lessons. Luther took me back to square one and has made sure I get everything perfect before moving on. It’s making me a much more consistent and disciplined guitarist, and I’m learning to read music for the first time. I wasn’t sure how useful remote guitar lessons would be before I started, but was pleased to discover that Luther makes it an excellent way to learn.

Luther is a great instructor, I came to take the class because I wanted to learn some good vocal techniques. I am not a signer but am planning to be part of a choir. He is quite knowledgeable, patient and is a great listener. I like that he is very serious about ensuring your success and knowing that has helped me to build my confidence.

I can already sense that my boys are going to have a great learning experience with Isaiah. He caught on to each child’s strengths and areas of growth in the content as well as behavioral differences. He adjusted to each one fluidly and took the time to debrief after the lesson. I’m looking forward to continuing this relationship.

Really brilliant teacher, has taught me saxophone from scratch. Focuses on a full range of skills in every lesson, from sound, technical exercises, jazz theory, improvisation and jazz repertoire. Have loved every lesson, and feel like I've improved significantly. Definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to learn saxophone, or how to be a jazz musician.

George explained things very simply.

George, was very patient, kind, and seem very knowledgeable. He seems to understand the pedagogy of teaching to kids and realize they all learn differently. I personally think he went above and beyond for my Son first class and for our first introduction. He offered a more modern approach method of teaching music and Piano to my son who so far seem more receptive in learning and practicing. Will se where that take us but I am very please so far.
Tracie S.
George is totally passionate about teaching. He encourages the kids to practice and do their best. He has great knowledge and understanding of music theory. He is pleasant, easy going and works really well with kids. Overall really good teacher. Recommend!

Building a positive learning environment is at the very core of my teaching philosophy. The lesson and the practice room are the times to make mistakes and learn how to reach your fullest potential! I offer well-rounded lessons, focusing on basic music theory, technique, expressive playing, and developing an understanding of why we make mistakes while practicing. My lessons can cover everything from the very basics to orchestral excerpts/audition preparation. Let’s get started!

"I have known Melanie for almost a decade as both a friend and colleague. We worked together in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years. I accompanied many of her students over that time and I can attest that she is a thoughtful, conscientious, and kind teacher that brings out the best in her students. We were sad to lose her in our area, but no doubt she will be a great addition to the Boise community!"

"I've just picked up flute after (literally) 50 years and been taking lessons with Thomas for several months. Lessons are enjoyable, and Thomas has taken great pains to gear them toward my goals for learning. Every lesson includes technique, musicality, and theory, with the theory taught through practical application rather than just as an abstraction. He also gives me guidance on how to practice, which was one of my key goals for taking lessons. I was concerned about whether I could find someone who understood how to teach adults - and am very pleased that I succeeded!"
