I am pretty easy going. I want you to feel comfortable and at ease, but we do need to focus and can have fun doing it. :)
I utilize various methods for each instrument, which is determined by the students learning style and ability; needs, so this can change as time goes on (not sticking to one particular publishers materials). I have done (and continue to do) extensive research into materials available for each instrument I teach, and supplement with my own, to utilize the best out there for "YOU" for the best possible progress. While ensuring an extremely well-rounded musical education, so you can progress at the best possible rate. Since each student's potential is different, each will progress differently. This is also determined by your dedication to daily practice (the more you practice, the quicker you will progress & the more accomplished you will become). This is a 'Team Effort'; I give the guidance and tools. You practice, utilize learn these tools, and off we go! The sky is the limit!

I've been teaching beginner to intermediate cello for 1 year. I played cello for 2 years in High School orchestra.

About Olivia
I love to create. The way I'm most comfortable creating is through writing; whether it's a song, a short story, a poem or a script. Writing has always been the bass line in my life; the heartbeat.

Music and film are both passions of mine. I graduated from Berklee College of Music where I studied Songwriting and Music Therapy. I was pushed to my absolute limits lyrically and musically within these majors, and I am so grateful for it now that I'm on my own creative journey.

I have a great deal of experience, but I am also still learning. I think it is very important as a teacher to always be learning, especially through their students. Teaching these lessons is, of course, about progress and advancement - but also about enjoyment, confidence building and positive encouragement.

Hi there! I'm Jorge M., a bay area freelance cellist and music coach. My specialty is in chamber music; an intimate setting of musicians. I earned my BM and MM from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, have been teaching the art of cello for people from all walks of life for over 10 years.

I'm a student currently studying cello performance at the Eastman School of Music. I've been playing cello for 9 years and have been doing student teaching for about 4 years. I focus on building up great technique in my students, but more importantly, I want to help my students feel more connected to the music they play, and ultimately use their technique to express themselves. The best teachers, for me, don't just teach you how to play the notes, but also how to find your own meaning in the music that you play- no matter the difficulty level of the piece you're playing!

I use the Suzuki method for most beginner/intermediate students, but I'm also sensitive to what the student wants. I'm a firm believer that the student should always enjoy what they are practicing! I want to build up healthy, solid technique in my students, but I encourage my students to find pieces they themselves are interested in! Practicing and learning the cello takes dedication- but it is a deeply gratifying ...

About Isaac
I am a very experienced classical cellist currently studying cello performance at Eastman, and I've been there for about 2 years now. As a student, my aim is to provide valuable, affordable lessons and teach my students everything they need to know in order to improve their musicianship.

Students can expect to improve their technique every single week, but there's something that's even more important to me as a teacher. I want my students to feel more connected to the music they play, and feel that they are using their technique in order to express themselves. That's the most gratifying part of music making, for me: finding your own meaning in the music you play.

As a cellist, I've been lucky enough to be apart of masterclasses with some very incredible cellists, including Paul Katz, David Geber, Julia Lichten and Norman Fischer. I've b
een principal cellist of the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra, and was very lucky to have been a part of Boston University Tanglewood Institute's Young Artists Orchestra in 2015, where I also served as one of the principal cellists. I've studied cello privately for 9 years with teachers including Ching-Jung Lee, Efe Baltacigil, and am currently studying with David Ying at the Eastman School of Music.

Practicing the cello is a commitment, but a deeply gratifying one. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your musical goals!

As a cellist with 16 years of playing experience and 4+ years of teaching I have learned that music can change your life at any age and even can help you heal from whatever struggles life throws at you. Music and learning an instrument can improve your brain functions in a way that no other activity can accomplish. I am so passionate about teaching and customize my teaching style to each student individually because the same approach does not work for everyone. I strongly believe in that and try to get to know my students, who they are, what their strengths and weaknesses are and how I can help to overcome those. I get very involved with my students and build a personal relationship with each one of them to further help them with cello. I've had some wonderful instructors myself including Amir Eldan and Hans Jensen who taught me not only how to play the instrument itself but also how to use those skills that come with being a musician in life.

About Jessica
I am a professional cellist who graduated from Oberlin Music Conservatory in 2016 with Bachelor of Music Performance. Since then I have been playing and teaching cello both privately and in high/middle schools. I teach people of all ages from 7 year olds to 85. I get so much joy from my students' accomplishments and personal growth.
I was raised in Poland and that is where I started playing cello, and later violin and piano as well. In 2008 I moved to USA to pursue my music education. I am also interested in music therapy and healing through music and making it accessible to everyone. My hobbies include riding a bike, swimming , zumba and musical theater!
You can take lessons with me at the comfort of your own home and get better at cello in no time!

I taught my very first cello lesson when I was 15 years old, and have continued ever since. For the past 10 years teaching has been the primary focus of my musical career, and I truly love interacting with students and passing on the knowledge I've received. I like to teach in a fun, relaxed manner, making sure the student is both learning and enjoying the experience at the same time. I have experience teaching all ages and skill levels and tailor my lessons to the abilities and personality of the individual.

About Christopher
I am a professional cellist currently residing in the Hartford area. I studied cello performance at The Boston Conservatory, The Hartt School of Music, and The University of New Hampshire. My private teachers include Ronald Feldman, Rhonda Rider, Terry King, Larry Veal, Neal Cary, and Jennifer Combs. I've played in masterclasses for Yo-Yo Ma, Joseph Silverstein, and The Shanghai String Quartet.

I've performed extensively throughout the state of Connecticut in chamber groups, musical and opera pit orchestras, symphony orchestras, weddings, and other private events. I also do a lot of recording projects. I composed and recorded music for three independent films, as well as hundreds of my own personal compositions and arrangements.

I've been teaching nonstop for the past ten years. Most of my students are cellists, though I also teach gu
itar and bass. I have a very good student-teacher rapport with my students, and consequently a high retention rate. I always travel to my students' homes which my students' parents greatly appreciate.

Along with the cello, guitar, and bass I also teach music technology courses such as how to use Finale to compose music, and Ableton and Pro Tools to record and produce music. I'm well-versed in music theory and composition as well. I have a broad array of subjects I can teach, and I'm looking forward to passing my knowledge onto you!
