Welcome to my Guitar, Bass Lesson, and Clarinet page. I can provide you with professional, quality, and affordable lessons. I'm very passionate about music, the guitar and bass, and love teaching! I am a Masters Degreed Educator who has been teaching for over 20+ years. I can provide you with lessons on proper technique, music theory, chords, scales, songwriting, and more. I currently teach with Guitar Center/Music Arts in the local area but I am looking for more students to fill out my schedule.

My focus is on providing the best quality lessons for the student and believes in the motto that the customer always comes first. Let me provide you with my professional service and make sure that you are 100% happy. Thank You.

Enough about me! We all know that everyone learns differently and has different strengths and weaknesses. My process is to analyze each student's unique abilities and to create a personalized learning experience for everyone. I have taught people from 5 to 83. I believe it is important to be empathetic to each person's needs, for example, I have experience teaching left-handed people, kids with Cerebral Palsy, Asperger's syndrome, people with missing fingers and other difficulties. Parents always ask me how I can be so patient with their kids, (the real secret is that I don't have to take them home ;) but on a serious note, I always remember the extreme amount of frustrating hours I put in before I got any real results. 6, 7, or 8 string, anything and everything guitar is my specialty. Electric or acoustic welcome. We will cover the parts of the instrument and why everything is so darn important (like how to stay in tune!). We can perfect your guitar's signal flow, pedals, and amplifier settings, too!

Want to learn basic rhythm? lead? fast strumming? how about making those big chords without making your hands hurt? I can help! You'll be jamming along with your favorite songs and with friends in no time.

I typically will teach and write guitar using tablature instead of standard sheet music. These are a simple set of lines and numbers that are much easier to read, and once learned will instantly give you access to thousands of songs.

I am a Chicago-based guitarist and composer with a style rooted in the jazz tradition but flavored with other styles.I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in instrumental performance from Columbia College in Chicago where I studied jazz guitar and theory with Frank Dawson.

As a trained musician with a degree in music as well as a lot of professional playing experience, I offer a unique perspective to teaching guitar, both as a guitarist and a passionate educator.

I played in a few professional bands and wrote a lot of original music.
I also wrote score/soundtrack for two films.
