Peter is a great teacher. He finds what your level is and goes from there. Peter finds what kind of style of learning best fits you.
For me, when Peter is playing the drums or Piano after he has given me the structures/scales makes it very easy to learn. Very patient and encouraging. Ask yourself- Why aren’t YOU taking lessons with Peter?

Not many world-class musicians are also great teachers. They either aren’t humble enough or never took the time to learn how to explain what they do. Anthony Fung is a true exception. As a lifelong fan of the drum set but someone who was always too intimidated to learn, I tried many teachers in-person & online and walked away feeling confused more often than not. Anthony was the teacher who changed that.

I first discovered Anthony’s drumming hearing him at the Newport Jazz Festival playing the drums with Grammy Winner and virtuoso pianist Danilo Pérez. Never have I been more blown away by hearing a musician live. He was in his early 20s at the time and had all the signs of someone with a special gift who would go very far in the music world. The drumming spoke for itself.

Then, later that day, he taught a drum clinic for hundreds of under-privileged high school students and adults that had the room buzzing. I saw the profound difference in the students’ playing immediately. And it became clear why people all over the world contract Anthony for his teaching.

We kept in touch over the years and I took lessons whenever I was in Los Angles at his studio. After the first lesson, I found I had already learned more facility at the drum set than from years of slogging through method books and teachers who didn’t know what they were doing.

Since the beginning of this year, I have switched over to weekly online lessons, which I found to be just as effective as in-person studies. We are now studying advanced concepts and exercises for developing technical facility and versatility as a drummer in the 21st century (and I played my first gig on the drums!). I feel truly fortunate to be able to take lessons with one of the world’s greatest drummers. No matter what genre you play, and whether you’re a complete beginner or advanced drummer, I know you’ll benefit immensely from Anthony’s experience, world-class artistry, and personable approach.

My nephew takes lessons with Anthony and he wanted to play like Travis Barker. He learned how to play All The Small Things and Adam’s song with Anthony, and he sounds great!

Anthony is a tremendous teacher who does a great job sharing his passion for music. He has amazing experience and has thoroughly studied many different genres. I highly recommend studying with him to take your musicianship to the next level!

Mark’s incredible skill as a drummer is only matched by his abilities as a teacher. In just a short time with Mark’s instruction, I have made vast improvements in my drumming. At my first lesson with Mark, he determined my skill level and what I sought to achieve with my lessons. Almost immediately, the fundamentals Mark showed me were translating into my drumming with my band. Mark has opened doors in my playing that I didn’t know existed. Mark is incredibly patient and really cares about ensuring I receive significant benefit from my lessons. Mark really goes out of his way to make sure I fully grasp everything he shows me. I would highly recommend Mark for anyone who wants to learn from a true master at his craft and from a teacher who takes pride in his students and his teaching. Thank you Mark!!

I have had many different types of music teachers through out my life and Mark is by far the best. He is very serious about helping his students do what they want to do. I had specific goals I wanted to accomplish. Mark took my goals seriously and did what he could to help me understand the techniques to be a good drummer. He broke things down in to little steps that helped me to practice on my own and figure specific drum patterns out, He gave me the tools to improve myself as a musician, Mark did not have to but he chose to put a lot of his own time in to teaching me what I wanted to learn He obviously cares about his students and takes them seriously. I highly recommend him to any future students

It's nice having a pro like Richard customize the lessons because he creates a greater understanding of music theory as a whole and then can bring it back down to a specific application like practicing scales with a clawhammer technique. I can tell he's gradually moving me along to meet my personal goals. You can't get that out of a book or a video.

I had a wonderful first lesson with Richard. It was fun and he taught me exercises that I can actually do and really make music right off the bat. I was scared that I'd be overwhelmed and not be able to do anything right but Richard broke things down into small steps that were easy to follow. I'm really looking forward to my next lesson. Excellent, very skilled, and professional instructor! I have taken lessons for a short time and I am already learning so much. He is so helpful and available for any questions or concerns I have about my technique. I highly recommend him as an instructor!

Anthony has been a GREAT instructor for my son. He’s easy going, communicates well, and makes my son feel super comfortable. He’s helped him for his tryouts for all region jazz band as well as high school drum line. I highly recommend him.

Great Experience

From the first lesson, Andrew has been a consummate professional. Each lesson he brings in something new, while making sure that everything we've covered in the past is still ingrained through repetition. Having Andrew as an instructor has opened my eyes to the many facets of drumming, and I have taken skills/techniques with me that will last forever. The feedback does not stop after each lesson, Andrew is available all the time for any questions I may have during the week if I am stumped while practicing. His schedule is flexible with mine, and he is willing to bring in music that I want to personally learn. The lessons are the right balance of fun and teaching, and his studio promotes a learning environment that is not intimidating to let loose if you're a beginner like me.

I'd recommend Andrew to anyone looking to expand their skill set, the lessons have been a great experience.
