24 yo Baritone | I've taken singing lessons with Steve for about 10 months. Before starting, I had moderate singing experience from competitive high school choirs but had regressed by picking up a few bad habits in the 6-ish years since.

I came in with few specific goals aside from becoming a better all-around singer.

Steve initially helped me improve my technique and cultivate a fuller sound using a variety of physicalization exercises. Since, we have progressed through songs he selected that each challenged certain parts of my voice while also highlighting my strengths. We'd keep coming back to songs I struggled with until I developed the desired skill. In that way, each song kind of brought its own lesson.

10 months later, I have a collection of songs I can perform confidently. In this time, we've also spent time on music theory and focusing on new skills I grew interested in improving (like singing with quiet intensity).

Finally, it's also important to note that Steve has always been patient, kind, and supportive. I was nervous before starting singing lessons again, but his gentle though direct feedback put me at ease quickly.

Steve is simply awesome! He is patient and great with kids. My 5 year old was so comfortable and learned a lot even on his first day.

I took 5 lessons with Ed, very great instructor. I learned a lot in those few lessons. He helped with with my pitch and with my accent that I had to prepare for an audition. With his help I was accepted into my high school’s A cappella group “Madrigals” and overall I would recommend. We made it work and tried to make the best out of the situation. Great experience:)

My kids thoroughly enjoyed lessons with Ed (both guitar and piano). Lessons started with my 7yo and when his brother turned 4yo, he started as well.

Michael has been a fantastic teacher--I've been working with him for almost three years and I've seen my skills improve measurably. His teaching skills are well above average, he's got a good home studio setup to make remote learning easier, and takes input from his students so they can better aim at their goals.

I specialize in providing a great foundation for learning the instrument. Too many students, new to the guitar, get frustrated and quit after just a few lessons, because it falls short of their expectations and they find they are not progressing. I make certain to keep the enthusiasm intact through the entire learning process by making sure the student is actually playing the instrument. I like to think of my method as "Fast Track to Playing Guitar"; my goal is to keep the student's interest in the instrument at a sustained level while they are grasping the fundamentals. Because I also teach Voice, and work professionally accompanying myself on the guitar, I can combine these attributes for my students, should they desire to sing and play. I have uncovered many a student who never fashioned themselves as a vocalist, begin singing and playing with astounding results. Just another option made available to my students.... My success rate of having my students continue with the guitar ...

About Glenn

I have been active in the entertainment industry since the age of 12, when I gave my first professional performance. Prior to that I was already being introduced to music with years of guitar, and then vocal instruction. I do not remember a time of my life when I was not singing somewhere; in the ho

"Simply Amazing!! As a new/beginner guitar player I wanted to find a teacher that could teach me not only how to play guitar but also the ability to sing as well. Within a matter of days James had me learning a simple way to learn to play a song for my girlfriend as a birthday gift. And now I'm hooked on learning to play better and grow as a guitarist. He breaks down the foundation for how to learn the guitar and what is needed to practice. James is your teacher if you're looking to learn as a beginner or wanting to advance your skill set."
